Nice fog and able to gravity feed water supply

I needed a fogger to add humidity to a grow tent being used to grow cool growing orchids. Most models have tanks that need to be constantly filled and keep running dry. This can hook up to a water source which is perfect for what I needed. I took a 5 gallon bucket and drilled a hole in the bottom then used a gasket seal to connect it to dehumidifier intake with a silicone hose. The float valve in the humidifier works great and I can now gravity feed water from the bucket into the humidifier. The humidity is not adjustable but I have it on a timer so it comes on and off throughout most of the day. Provides an excellent fog which is what I needed time will tell how long that lasts but right now I'm very happy with my purchase

great at maintaining humidity but two minor suggestions...

i bought this for a sunroom with a lot of orchids. It does a great job of keeping the humidity at just the right level. My only issue is that some water splatters out the top when running. Seems like it could have been designed to avoid that. I also wish it had a metal compression fitting that would work with a copper supply line instead of the plastic fitting requiring a plastic line like are often used for icemakers.

Greenhouse essential

Used this for my hobby greenhouse along with a humidity control switch (purchased separately). It’s really helped improve air root growth with my orchid collection. Worth the money!

loud grinding sound

I just got this. First of all there is almost no instructions. That said it looks fairly straight forward except for the fact that the fan hits the float valve and make a loud grinding sound. I went to the website for support and the URL and the unit redirects me somewhere else, I left a message but I'm thinking this one is broken or something.

My shipping was inadequate

Item came shipped in original packaging. The mesh plastic was badly damaged. I would return it but I dont have the time and it’s still operational and needed at the moment. Would recommend adding another box for shipping and not just ship it in the thin cardboard manufacturers box. If it breaks hopefully they’ll cover under warranty with the damage it has

Good unit for the price

The unit works well. Moderately difficult to clean. I wish it had fan/motor speed settings to increase/decrease the intensity of the mist but it works well for what I need it for.
