Pump does what it is supposed to but?

The pump pumps water like it should but don't depend on the float switch to work. I bought one of these in June 2018 and less than 2 years later in February 2020, the switch failed. I bought another one then and less than 8 months later, the switch on it failed to turn on also. It would be under warranty but I see no reason I would want another one. A better option is to buy the pump without a float switch and use an external one. I was not using the pumps very much, as a condensate pump and also to pump out a sump about 2 times a month.

Isn't as helpful as hoped for

It seemed to clog easily. We put it in a window well, which is advertised for - but easily clogged from sediment inside the window well (we have gravel in the bottom of it.) I pulled it out and sat it in a bucket of water and it then cleared up and started working again. Additionally, we have a hose connected that runs up and out of the window well. When the auto shut off turns the pump off, the water that was currently in the hose all comes back through the pump and back into the spot.

When it works it does fine..

I bought this pump because of seepage in the basement that has drain problems... I placed the pump over the drain which is the lowest point and it works fine when it's working but I've had 3 instances where water backed up and the switch didn't start the pump. I had to put on the boots and lay the pump over to get water in it to get it running.. After I did that it was fine and did what it was supposed to do.. til the next time.. so needless to say it was very frustrating... If you decide to buy it just know that it's not totally dependable.. If you have water problems after a big rain, make sure you check to see if it's running..

Only Pump that Can Stay Plugged In

I searched just about every pump that you could possibly find in order to find a pump that could remain plugged in and yet still work when the water came and it needed to function. Previously I tried things like a pond pump that had an auto shut off when it was dry, but even in the instructions for that pump it clearly states to not keep plugged in. This pump works great fit into a tight spot and did the job

Good Sump pump

I over time burning out the switches.had to add the watch dog float system so it would mot be kicking on and off alot as a sump pump the water needs to build up a little before it kicks in this keeps the float switch on the pump from working itself from

I installed this pump in a catch pan for a water heater. It looks okay for an inexpensive pump

Fails to turn on when needed.

This is a replacement unit. It is used to remove water that flows into a catch basin. Sometimes it fails to turn on at switch level activation point. I have another manufacturer's in identical set up. It's never fails. This one fails every second day. I dont know if it's defective or badly designed.

Ya, a re-boxed pump so I took the chance.

Sigh. I went cheap and purchased something that had been returned. It did not work and disgusted, I binned it. This is more a "beware of the returned product" warning than any harsh condemnation of the pump. Le sigh.

Garbage

I have bought 2 of these pumps both have issues. The bearing wore out after a year on the first pump. The second pump was to replace the first and after 1 month of use the pump shuts off after only minutes of pumping.. Burcam has a good reputation but these are a disappointment by far.

Works as advertised, considering buying a second unit.

Hook it up and walk away. A word of caution, do not allow a bow or low spot to develop in the discharge hose.

Pump part works fine.

This is the second one I have purchased and the stop, start switch on both of them is not reliable.
