Amazing portable sound machine!

We bought this portable sound machine when we had our second baby and I wish we would’ve had it for our first! White noise was very calming for our babies and this sound machine was a great solution for us when on the go! It has a strap that you use to tie to a stroller or secure in the car so it doesn’t fly around. The battery lasts for a long time and the sound can be adjusted for however loud/soft you need it to be. It’s easy to use and just overall a great product!

It’s great BUT…

I love the Yogasleep Rohm. It’s gets the job done. Our baby sleeps so well with it on that when we turn it off he wakes up. The only thing I wish it did have was a longer battery life. We’ve gone through two of these in 4m. It never fails to “die” at the two month mark. That’s $25+ every couple months, so at this stage I might as well buy the hatch, since we do not buy this for its portability.

Great Little Sound Machine…Wish it came with a Case

This sound machine is great. It’s super small and portable, and it creates big sound. I travel a lot for work, and this slips easily into my carryon and keeps me from hearing hall noise and the people in the hotel rooms next to me. My only critique would be that the buttons are on the outside edge of the unit. Often times, it will turn on inside my travel bag. I wish it came with a hard shell case to keep this from happening.

Works better than I thought possible.

My husband and I NEED white/brown noise to sleep well. We have tried many of them. A DIY influencer recommended this one and I was skeptical. I can't stand the high pitched white noise most of these give. Or the ones that are a recording and almost stops to start over again. This one has a more like brown noise (low tone fan) and works ALL NIGHT LONG without skips. Also the charge lasted 3 nights before we charged again. You can also use it plugged in while charging. I would 1000% recommend this easily packable small travel sound machine. AMAZING SLEEP on our last trip!!

I read so many negative reviews about how buttons do not work, so I kept my expectations low. On top of it I am super sensitive to noises and dislike majority of them. Recently I noticed that the railroad, which is not far from my home, is running trains every 5 minutes. And if there is no train, there is helicopter. All this started grating on my nerves and I had to use headphones at home which I do not like to wear all the time. Especially falling asleep is uncomfortable in headphones. The helicopters, trains and motorcycles do calm down after midnight but until then i cant sleep without headphones. So I decided to see if this device can help. It came in, I pushed the button and three different noises were played. All of them are really nice. For fighting the trains probably the constant noise is better, but I liked the ocean setting. In any case, this device gives some level of protection from intrusion. Like it.

Worth every penny.

Battery lasts a long time! We use it when traveling and in our RV. We run it 12 hrs a night plus naps for our kids. Usually only have to charge every other day or so.

Happy mummy, happy baby ????????????

Love this white noise machine. Had previously been using an app on my phone. Tried the myhummy bears but these were too quiet, tried YouTube but that had issues so finally decided to get a proper machine. This one is fantastic. It’s for our baby but chose this over the one with the nightlight as he sleeps better in complete darkness. A selection of white noises, all are really relaxing. I previously hated the sound of white noise but I’m finding the noises on this machine lovely and soothing. Great volume, goes up really loud which I find good for baby. Very portable, small, easy to use and a great price. Happy mummy, happy baby here ????

It works but needs repeated re-charging.

I have been using this unit for several days and have been able to come to some conclusions. Firstly, it does work but there are two significant factors that need to be understood. I purposefully selected a unit that I believed generated the background noise because I did not want a recorded loop that would quickly become apparent. I couldn't get info from the forums or supplier but there was a US review claiming that it was generated - not recorded. On the first try I quickly recognised a repeated pattern on the noise every several seconds. It becomes pronounced overnight. It must be a loop-based system. Secondly, the battery is not up to the job. It lasts for just less than two night's sleep before switching off, yet the manufacturer/seller claims that the unit does not require power overnight. I have had this run out on me on two of the four successive sessions so I am now using it powered overnight. Apart from those problems the unit appears flexible and a suitable sound level can be set quite easily. I have increased my rating from 3* to 4* because after more use I am more pleased with it than at first. Pity about the battery!

Useful for nights away

I bought this device as I had been moving my main dohm back and forth for nights away which took up a lot of room in my bag and required a wall socket within a reasonable distance to the bed! I've found it as good as the fan - driven dohm but you need to be aware of the battery, mine has lasted 2.5 nights on the lowest volume without recharging so if taking it away for longer you will want to make sure you have the cable and a USB charger with you. I can see having to leave it plugged it at some point in order to keep it going through the night. Regarding the noises, there are three different pitches, I prefer the first, deeper one as it sounds most like my dohm and seems to help block outside noises from disturbing my sleep. Overall would always recommend this type of product if you are a light sleeper like me.

Good quality white noise, does work to block noises.

I always carry it with me on trips because as a light sleeper even the slightest noise in hotels can wake me up. This is the perfect remedy in the perfect size for that. It has good quality white noise, and has very good volume (I almost always use it around the middle). It's small and relatively lightweight. It has its own charging cable but sometimes I don't even carry it because it uses any Android phone or camera charger. As for battery duration I use it one night plugged in, and the next unplugged with the charge of the previous night. I use it the whole night and once using for more than one night without charging, the battery died in the middle of the night so I've found out the previous schedule guarantees operation all night. My only con is that it would be great if it had a headphone plug, sometimes I would love being able to use it in the airplane. The other thing that annoys me is that I haven't figured out the process for turning it on! I press the on button, release, leave it pressed, or some routine like this and after a few seconds it turns on. I really haven't figured out exactly what the turning on process is exactly. Wish I could just press the on button and it turned on, but no! Not a major issue, after playing with it a little it eventually turns on, but it's weird.

Works well, until it breaks

-- update Nov 2021-- The orit "marpec rohm" has now suffered the same fate after 2.5 year, it won't take a charge and can't be turned on. Another piece of electrical waste generated because of how poorly it's built. Don't waste your time/money -- original review -- We have an original Marpec Rohm and it is still going after 2 years. We got a second one for the next kid and we're on our third "yogasleep" rohm. Every couple of months it just won't turn on or charge. Quality seems to have vanished since the rebrand to "yogasleep"
