Beautiful high quality pancake syrup ladle.

We frequently invite friends and family over for pancake breakfasts, sometimes feeding over a dozen guests. We make our own maple or hickory syrup and leave it on a counter in a quart wide mouth jar. We selected this one ounce ladle because it fit into the wide mouth jar and enabled our guests to quickly ladle the desired amount of sweetness on their pancakes. The construction is superb with seamless construction and a high quality, very sanitary, polish. The length of the handle keeps it far enough away from the sticky liquid to keep everyone's hands clean. We bought a second one in case we serve more then a dozen guests and have to put out a second jar of syrup.

Higher Price. Worse Product.

We've ordered close to 50 of these since the summer. The price has always been $5.86. Until now. The price increased to $8.60. We just ordered 6 more to see if there have at least been any improvements to justify the increase. Quite the opposite. They changed the 1oz spout ladle by making it wider and more clumsy. We had been very happy until now. We will be returning these and not purchasing again. Higher price plus worse product equals a bad deal for us. If you look in the photo, the older version is the one on the bottom. The newer, more expensive, and consider version is on top. Did you think we would not notice?
