Nice quality but not "stealth" for me in 5.11 Stryke pants

Wearing 5.11 stryke pants. See attached photos. Pro: good quality, easy to insert. Definitely noticeable comfort when kneeling Cons. Causes pants to ride up when bending down, must make sure to adjust pant leg before kneeling to get center of pad vs. The edge. When standing noticeable outline of knee pads. When sitting even worse as the edges will buckle out I wanted something more subtle as more of leave in and wear everyday even when not working kinda kneepads without looking like you have kneepads. These are very noticeable especially when sitting. Also when walking you can definitely feel them pressing against kneecap. I'm sure it will wear out once you break them in. After 30 mins of walking , my bare kneecaps were noticeably irriated from the fabric rubbing on them. Could just be how the stryke pants are designed since I notice alot of other reviews have different pants and this issue was not brought up so I won't knock that against this product.

Work for dovetail maven slim

Saw another dovetail customer review and I’m adding mine. These are thick and a little stiff but do the job. I may trim them just to make it easier to get in/out of my awesome pants that I love.

Just enough cushion

Put these in my Tru-specs. Fit fine even though they do slide to the side, but that’s more of the pants design. I leave them in when washing and haven’t had any issues. Got enough to put in all of my pants.

Only provides modest protection.

I have damaged knees so I still get pain. I DO wish they would ride just a bit higher in the work pant pockets but that is no a fault of the pad itself. It's tall enough to provide a little support.

Ideal knee pads

I use these in Carhartt pants with knee pockets. They are exactly the right size for the pants -- my knees are 100% on the pads when kneeling, but the pads are pretty much out of the way when standing. The foam is firm but soft enough. I think these are the perfect knee pads for me, and the price is right. The only issue is how long they last. I bought another brand that fit perfectly, but within a week the foam was crushed paper thin where I was kneeling on it.

Worth the money trust me

I bot one pair and after one month in my work pants I bot 3 more pairs love them and so dus my knees you will love them when you get used to having them in your dubbal front pants.

OK, but very small

They do protect against hard floors when kneeling and, unlike the carpet underlay I've been using in my Carhartt knee pockets for a while (true story), I'm happy to wash and dry them. But they're comedically small: half the height of the knee pockets, and about two thirds the width. So they don't really feel like they're reliably positioned. The search continues...

Work awesome

Have had these in my pants for 4 months now. I'm a mechanic, whether it's for my boss or for my cars, I'm on my knees a lot and these have held up awesome. Have been in the pants for a good 40 washes and havnt had issues. They'll most likely outlive my carharts.

Best I've used

I'm an electrician and wear these in my Carhartt pants. Over the years, I've tried many kneepad inserts and none of them compare to these. Other ones thin over time, are too soft, and quickly wear holes in Carhartts. I've had these for 6 months now and they are just as comfortable as the day I got them, and my pants show very little wear. They are also easily the most comfortable that I've tried. I'll be sticking to these from now on.

Good

They fit in my dickies work pants. Wish they were abit more curved they are essentially flat . Comfortable to kneel on the floor now. having straps choke the back of my leg in traditional knee pads was why i never wore them before. Now i can save my knees

Way better then regular kneepads

I love this kneepads, fit awesome in my doublefront carhartts(and cheaper then carhartts). They kinda look weird because of how large they are and almost seems like the ride below your knee but once you kneel they are in the perfect place. In hot summer days(+37°C) they were great didnt find my knees sweating horribly like with regular kneepads, and you can barely tell you have them on. Easy to wash just throw it in the wash no need to take em out
