Very good meter that serves all my needs for what I do (appliance repair). Seems to be well built, accurate and the case is nice. The only 2 things I don't like about it is that you have to press the hold button to turn on the backlight which means it turns on both so you have to remember to hit it again to turn off the hold function which could lead to a false reading of you don't realize it's on. I also don't like that it goes to dc voltage as the default and you have to switch it to ac, but that's mainly because I use ac voltage most often. For the price though, I'll deal with these small nuisances. I've had a $300 fluke and a $175 fieldpiece in the past and this is almost as good as those and way better than an extech or other cheaper models

Great tool

Unlike most clamp meters or multimeters, the Triplett is more compact. It has a heft to it that just lets you know its well made. Throw in some easy-to-read menus and accurate readings and you have five stars.
