10/10, really amazing and easy to use. BUT please do not compare it to InBody

First of all im adding 2 images of 2 body measures from the professional inbody and this RunSTAR... its obviously not a comparison point, because it is waaay off. But listen to this it does not matter, the inbody is not the golden standard, it only is one of the most known bio impedance weight scales but iahve had at least 6 different low cost bio impedances and mos of them are always off. This will work a lot if you stop comparing your results to another machines. This will help you to get your betterself and btw, it feel this gives you way more info than the inbody. So yes, ill give it a 10/10. People will give less than 5 stars ONLY because they are comparing it to inBody. This is like your SO, each one is different and good in its own way. Just give it a try without comparing to other weight scales Results.

You Get What You Pay For

This is a (relatively) cheap Chinese scale for what it offers. I have had the same large variance in readins within minutes of each other that others have reported. I think this is because the scale is too sensitive to hydration levels in the skin, i.e. dry feet. I now either wait until I am well hydrated, or use a wet cloth on my feet prior to using the scale. This seems to have helped. The instructions were poorly translated, and the app has obvious issues, but I've been able to make this work enough for my purposes, to the point that I don't see a need to return it. So congratulations to the manufacturer for making a product just adequate enough, and cheap enough, that I chose to keep it.

Tracks weight well, but remaining stats are very questionable

I really wanted to like this unit. The actual build quality was decent (with the exception of the hand probes), but the results were questionable at best when it came to body composition. I used this item for over a month and really could not get a proper readout on the body composition no matter how I held onto the hand probes or placed my feet. If I stepped off and back on for another reading in the same position, the BMI/Bodyfat/etc would swing well enough that it was tough to gauge my true results. The weight on the other hand was spot on. I found myself taking 3-4 measurements on my check-ins and documenting an average which was more trouble than it was worth. I ultimately sent the unit back and bought a caliper test instead and using my old scale for weight. Pro/Con mashup: - The app was fine, but you lose your results readout unless you remember to export it first. You can cycle through the graphs on the other hand to see the history. - You need to keep the app (on whatever device you have it installed on) nearby so you can hear the tune and know when to step of. Otherwise you won't know when the reading is done (with your arms extended and standing straight you can't look down and see the screen if you have to hold still. Considering the results were sketchy, I stayed straight as an arrow for however long I needed to) - The scale itself was solid, the hand sensor seemed cheap - You are provided with a mount to permanently stick somewhere to hold the hand sensors. This makes moving the unit around cumbersome or permanent to a location. - When I looked at the firmware information I really think the unit is set to 4 probes and not 8 which may account for the issues with readings since there were 8 probes. I could not change this. It's a nice looking scale both design and fit. Nice readout screen. Connects to the app without issues. I just wish the accuracy was better for the price. The experience was neutral enough that I returned it with no issues,

Very Accurate

The reviews seem to be all over the place so I thought I would write one. My gym has a very expensive body fat scale which operates the same as Runstar so I had something to compare my numbers to. This unit is very accurate with weight and body fat percentage which is mainly what I track. Make sure to zero out the scale each time by applying a little weight. It's important to weigh yourself at the same time of day and there will be variations dependent on your hydration. You will have more accurate numbers if you are hydrated. You do not want to work out and then get on these scales the numbers will not be right.

Easy to Use App, PDF Printout Option, ALL Stats!!!

UPDATE: Below is my original review, BUT I want to say the reset button next to the charging port is your friend. I hit that and suddenly all was well and accurate in comparison to my original scale. It was only off by half a pound. With that, I give this a 5 Star. I've been warned by some fitness friends that mutli-point body comp scales may need a reset from time-to-time. So, keep that in mind. If you have similar results, it may just be a button press away. PRIOR REVIEW: I REALLY wanted to like this scale. When I climbed on for my weight, imagine my surprise when it was roughly 15 pounds more than expected. I pulled out my usual scale for comparison and sure enough, that seemed to be the case. So, I ran a test with a 10lb weight I had laying around. My old scale registers 10 lbs perfectly. The new body comp scale, shows 27.5lbs with the 10 pound weight. CAVEAT: I understand the specs state 11lbs as the lowest point, but that being the case, I would imagine even with just a little extra pressure I could get close to 11lbs, but it will not go below 27.5lbs, no matter how hard I try. It is possible this is a bad unit, as there are a lot of positive reviews, but it isn't working out for me.

No customer service

The product worked great until about a month ago when the app updated and the whole thing stopped working properly. I have contacted thier "customer service" several times, and all they do is keep requoting what is already in the manual. I would reccomend staying away from this brand. I'll be shopping for a different smart scale.
