this keeper is aparently only for the wooden paddles. when i got it i put it alongside my carlisle plastic and alum paddle and the three leg bracket the paddle sits into was too small. i measured up the inside distance and measured the outside inner dimensions and it was one inch too narrow. to fix this i measured in 5\8 inch on each side of my paddle and up to the depth of the bracket. used tin snips and a flap wheel to smooth the paddle where it was cut. it now fits and is mounted in the boat. just realize if you have this kind of paddle youll need to modify it to fit. amazon should list the interior dimensions of this product to insure it will work when purchased. thats why it gets only three stars,quality is good and price was fair,it also comes with the mounting screws. hope this review helps!!

Is ok

Product works as it is supposed to. It will hold up to a 6 7/8” paddle blade however the supplied screws are not stainless steel as what should be used in any marine environments

Cheap plastic, not made for real paddles

I don't know what kind of paddles this was designed for, but it isn't for actual paddles. I bought these to mount paddles on a canoe rack I built. The receiving end for the paddle blade is WAY too narrow. I guess these are for decoration paddles that grandma puts all over the wallpaper in her summer cottage. The material is also super cheap and flimsy.

Very brittle plastic, breaks easily

We tried to mount a paddle on our boat, and the retaining clip at the handle end of paddle snapped as soon as we tried to put the paddle in it. The plastic is very brittle. An unfortunate waste of money.

This item made hanging my paddle easy and it looks nice, I wish it was made out of a stronger material as its hard plastic.

Sent back. It was plastic paddle holder. No paddle was included. Thought it was decor!!
