Great value for a top-tier French import

The product I received was actually a Gobel 10” model# 124840 deep fluted tart pan. It was somewhat challenging to purchase this pan at a good price and with reasonable shipping - this arrived in one day at a price below most retail suggestions. Gobel is a well-known kitchen supply manufacturer so this product is legit. The pan has some real heft to it despite just being tinned stainless steel. Note that although it is described as a 10” pan, the outer diameter is closer to 9.75”, while the inner diameter is 8.5” (see photos). Nevertheless, the pan worked wonderfully and cleaned up without any issue with a simple brushing under water. I did not see any rust, nor did I feel edges were dangerously sharp. Although this pan is not “non-stick”, if you use a pie crust with enough fat content, it should unmold flawlessly. I’m looking forward to the next pie already.

Bigger, really is better.

This is a nice pan, but 2 cautions: 1. ALWAYS well-grease the pan, or you'll be sorry! 2. If you make a quiche, for example, and it leaks or overflows, be very careful how you clean it. If you use any kind of cleaner (like Bar Keeper's Friend) it WILL mar the finish. That said, if you have to slice on the base, do it carefully, and it won't scratch too much. The size is great for extra room, and really big tarts. It should do well for pies, too. It's made in France, and a bit pricey, but is better than the cheap "made in China" stuff. So far, I've used it twice, and it cooks the crust evenly, and to a nice golden brown, yum!

Deep, heavy pan

A nice deep, heavy pan. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but plan to try it out this weekend. The only issue I have with it at this time is that the inside edges of the fluted part are a bit sharp and rough. I didn't notice any of the other reviews mentioning this. Will have to be careful around them. (Had considered returning it for a replacement but quite frankly, too lazy.) It's not a HUGE problem, but for the price I was a bit surprised by the defect. Would still recommend the product though.

Great Pan for Deepdish Tarts

I needed a deep tart pan for a pumpkin cheesecake tart for a holiday affair. I wanted a deep dish tart pan that would hold up. I once bought a nonstick tart pan from a different vendor and within three uses the nonstick lining was flaking off so I decided that I wanted tin for my next pan. The bottom lifts easily with no trouble releasing your dessert provided you grease the pan very liberally. The pan is sturdy and the tin sides have had no issues with warping or buckling. It also cleans up easily with minimal effort. This pan is so nice that I am sorry I didn't buy it sooner.

Good pan, smaller than I expected though

I really like this tart pan, but it is smaller than 10", at the bottom where it counts. If you don't mind smaller, it's a great pan. If you do, you might want to keep shopping. Also, I see that it is now almost $28. When I bought it, I paid about $15. It's totally worth $15. $28? Not to me. . .

Perfect for quiche

I now have six of these and use them in my bakery for our deep-dish quiches. They hold up great in a commercial dishwasher, and a little pan spray is all it takes to pop a whole quiche out flawlessly each time - hot or cold. I previously purchased another brand's nonstick version, but the coating started to chip off pretty early. Not even worth going that route. These are great.
