Nice sturdy star, but!

First the good things about this decorative star is it is sturdy, it looks beautiful on our tree, but the things we didn’t like is it’s battery operated! The Energizer max batteries we used last about 3 days (if left on 24hrs a day) so remember to switch off every night before you go to bed. Why doesn’t it have a regular plug which you can plug into existing Xmas lights??? Then you wouldn’t have to even mess with batteries! This is a heavy star, we have a artificial tree, and the star is a little heavy that it flops over to the side. Our solution was a 12” piece of clear drain hose (picture #2), wired to tree top, then put star over hose to support the star. If we had a real tree this probably wouldn’t be an issue. So we gave it 3 stars. But would definitely recommend to people if it had a plug vs batteries.

Expected far more for the price.

I have returned this item. Item was received on time and in excellent condition. It is exactly 8 inches, side to side, however, we found it too small for our slim tree - personal preference. It appears to be reasonably made, with embellishment on both sides. I cannot attest to the battery-operated lights, as the small size prompted the return immediately upon opening. The price is far too high for the quality of the materials used. In fact, I would compare the item to something you may find in a Dollar store. I do not recommend this item based on the cost alone.

Decent price

It looks cheap but when you turn the lights on its beautiful. Also the cord shorts out so the light comes on and off by itself.

Works great

I gave it 4 stars because I didn't realize it's runs by battery. I'd prefer it with a plug. Now I have to manually turn it off and on at the tree.
