Really good deal.
It works great just like new. I didn't get the battery with it. But, 2 days later the seller sent a replacement free of charge and quickly. I'll definitely buy from this seller again.

Does the job
Worked great… this megaphone has a recorder so it works great for chanting at rallies… didn’t kill batteries lasted all day and was as loud in the morning as it was in the evening

This Pyle PMP45r is a keeper
This is the unit I wanted from the start. even though the reviews weren't encouraging. The first one I ordered was a used Pyle PMP45R megaphone. I have bought and enjoyed a few great used items on Amazon.com, at substantial savings. This was not one of them. The unit arrived unharmed and earlier than expected. But inside the box, the shoulder strap was missing, the mike connector was way too small and wouldn't stay in the hole. OK, so I can live with that. I charged up the included battery for more than 16 hours, put it in place in the megaphone...and...nothing. I couldn't get a multimeter reading on the battery at all. THAT was the deal-breaker. I would have liked to try D cell batteries (6 of them), but I don't buy alkalines, and had just purchased 4 Tenergy Centura rechargeable D cells for something else. I am fairly confident that the unit worked...it just needed a good battery. I searched all over for that battery, but couldn't find it. In fact, the battery had/has no model #, manufacturer, or date anywhere on it. Odd, as they usually have some printed info. I have never had to return anything to Amazon, so, in general, I wasn't looking forward to the process. I only had to submit a request for a refund...once. Amazon sent me an email, which told me what I needed to do, then told me what they would do. At the end of the email, it read, "We want to make this right for you". And that is what they did. I got my refund a few days later, BEFORE I even had the label printed to return the megaphone. I could have exchanged the megaphone, but I didn't want another 'used' one. I started looking at megaphones again because I needed one for security. I was looking at all available rechargeable megaphones and kept coming back to the Pyle PMP45R. It is a comfortable size and weight. Keep in mind, if you have 6 D cells in a megaphone, it is heavier than the onboard battery. The range is 1000 yds, pretty much all you need. I would have preferred the folding handle, but not a deal breaker. I have used it 3 times, now. Is it loud? You bet. I almost dropped it when I pushed the siren button...it startled me. If I wasn't holding it, I could swear that the cops were in front of my house. (hardly ever a good thing when THEY use sirens.) If I had been able to find a replacement rechargeable battery, I would have kept the first megaphone. As it turned out, I am very pleased by the way that Amazon handled the return, and glad that I stuck with my original choice for the Pyle PMP45r.

Never worked quite right...
The internal microphone never worked on this thing, which was okay since I planned on using the detachable microphone for the most part anyhow. However, one of the kids in my classroom got upset that I told them to put the megaphone down (as middle schoolers apparently have to be told not to touch things that aren't theirs) and they took the microphone off and threw it, basically breaking it. I've been lazy as I haven't wanted to pay for a new microphone to continue using it. Other than that, it is loud enough, the microphone was a bit wonky and had a short to begin with, but hey, it is what it is. I also don't like that I can't place the detachable microphone onto the bullhorn itself, you hold it which means it always requires two hands. Kind of lame.

Not the best but it works
This works and does the job however there are better other models with better design. This one does not have a holder for the handheld so you have to carry it taking up two hands. The handle is too far back to it makes it feel heavier. The on off is a button so it would be easy to leave on and announce something you don’t want to announce. The battery life isn’t that great. Suggestions by another model that has the attachment to hold the handheld

The siren is pretty damn loud too
I bought this for my Aunt as a joke so she can be heard when our family plays board games and everyone gets loud. (We're competitive and we drink). Now it's helpful when she needs to get her teenager's attention because they have their headphones on and can't hear her calling for them. We can invite our neighbors over by standing on the front porch and calling them with the Megaphone from across the street. The siren is pretty damn loud too. Enough to where we can get everyone's attention down the street, especially when we need to alert them that it's time for fireworks. That little detachable microphone is useless, feels like nothing is even in there. Better to speak through the megaphone itself and buy a better one later. It's my nephew's toy now. There are louder ones for sure, but I purchased this for $25. Great buy. On a side note, we don't have traffic on our street except for residents, it's not used as a side road for through traffic, so it is quiet, except for us of course. If you have more noise on your street, upgrade and spend the money for a better model. Also, read the instructions about the battery, it's important. This one is rechargeable so no-one has to buy expensive batteries.

Just what I wanted
This megaphone was a must buy for both work and football. The rechargeable battery is next level ! Very happy with my purchase. Although it comes white I personalized mine with my favorite color and a little blig.

Rechargeable battery never worked
Out of the box the rechargeable battery never worked. Other than that this thing is great, slightly cheap and plasticky. The mic feels cheap too, I dont like the shoulder strap Overall it is quite loud or quiet if needed, mic works well, batteries last longer than the canadian government takes to outlaw megaphones. Got this thing wet, overspray from firehose and it still works. The siren is cool. Record feature is great.

Points positifs: Le mégaphone est arrivé avant la date prévue. Il était en bon état et conforme à ce que j’avais commandé. Je l’ai utilisé 2 fois jusqu’à maintenant et il fonctionne bien et la pile rechargeable à été fiable. Points négatifs: Les instructions ne sont pas disponibles en français et ne sont pas très détaillées. C’est difficile de savoir quand la pile est complètement chargée, car la lumière reste toujours allumée (rouge). Je ne sais pas s’il manquait quelque chose dans la boîte, mais je n’ai rien pour accrocher le microphone, ce qui est embarrassant

Problemas de batería
Por ahí había leído qué algunos tuvieron problemas con la batería, pensé que no sería común. Sin embargo, el producto que recibí tenía el mismo problema, la batería no cargaba se quedaba siempre cargando. Es posible que sea esta línea. Compré otro modelo de la misma marca y está funcionando bien. Así que si compras este modelo es arriesgarte a que no funcione la batería, si piensas usarlo con baterías alcalinas entonces tal vez no haya problemas.

A Glitch
I ordered two of these. I charged up batteries overnight. One megaphone worked well: the other one didnt work at all. No power came on when I powered it on. Contacted Amazon by chat. Difficult to communicate with CSR due to language barrier but we eventually figured it out. Service was excellent aside from that and a new megaphone is being shipped.

Bonne portée de son et batterie facile d'installation et de recharge!
J'ai utilisé ce porte-voix lors d'une rassemblement sur mon lieu de travail et le son était génial et pas trop bruyant mais assez clair pour que nous entendions bien les directives. Plusieurs fonctionnalités incluses dont l'enregistrement, une sirène, un microphone attachable et super léger à porter. Je faisais l'envie de mes collègues qui avaient une version plus petite et moins performante que la mienne. Seul côté négatif est concernant le microphone attachable. Il n'y avait pas de pince ou de crochet pour le mettre sur le porte-voix ou après nous donc le microphone pendait dans le vide alors que sur d'autres modèles, l'attache est fournie. Demeure malgré tout un achat recommendable!
