A Good Surface Clamp

The only reason this didn't get 5 stars is because the product description doesn't make it obvious that this is a SURFACE clamp. This is basically a surface clamp +- 1/4 inch. i.e without additional blocking, mounted on the same surface as the workpiece, the workpiece can be up to 1/4" thick, or the pad can be adjusted to clamp at 1/4 inch below the clamp surface level. Yes, you can clamp a 2" board, but only if you mount it on a 2" block. Just like you can clamp 6 ft block, if you mount it on a 6 ft block. That aside, it suited my purpose just fine for making a jig to cut large panels of OSB. I thought I would need both clamps to hold the jig securely against 8' panels, but just one suffices as it has great holding power.

easy to use, work well

I use these for wood working jigs for the table saw to hold the workpiece while cutting. These hold the workpiece securely while cutting the workpiece.

Solid With Possible Limitations

As other reviews mentioned, these appear to be good quality and have a solid feel. The reason for the four stars and not five is that I am unable to clamp anything thicker than 1 x material - meaning 3/4 inch thick pieces of wood. It was unclear to me from the description what the capacity was. In the questions and answers section it was mentioned that the capacity is about 2 inches. After removing the bolt above the rubber stopper so the stopper was flush with the metal (see pic of product), I was able to gain more range and was able to barely clamp down an inch thick piece of wood. I was unable to clamp down 2 x material (1.5 inches thick). Maybe mine will loosen over time or there are variations in the manufacturing. I will most likely be using this to clamp down 1x boards so its not thay big of a deal but felt that a one star deduction was fair. Also, I am sure that I assembled it properly as pictured.

Second item defective

I bought this item two times.. The first one was OK, so I bought the second thinking that was the same as the first one, but...it was defective. The handle was unable to lock the arm because the arm wasn't at the right place. Instead of returning the item that I could have done, I fixed it lowering the base of the arm with a file. Powertec should have better quality control.

Supe reforzadas y fuertes

Me gustó mucho que está muy fuerte palanca está forrada de plástico duro no es una goma suave, eso ayuda a que puedas tomarla con firmeza, son muy fuertes y resistentes, la recomiendo ampliamente.
