This reduces dental appliances odor causing bacteria, does a general cleaning, and cleans stains. Polident does not use an abrasive to clean. This does not cause scratches, which allows bacteria to seep in. We do not want to risk health based on oral bacteria. That’s where Polident comes into the picture. We use this in place of brushing with toothpaste, which is an abrasive. Something more than brushing is needed. For our multi-generational family, we use Polident with consistent success. However, an overnight waiting time, for results, is not always possible, family needed something sooner, so family tried Polident’s 3-minute cleaner. The results were consistent with their overnight soak tablet, but the results were in minutes. We have the same effervesce effects, which tells us Polident’s reactive action is going into those nooks and crannies doing what it’s supposed to do, clean and eliminate bacteria. Plop-Plop, Fizz-Fizz, Oh What A Clean This Gives. We received three (3) boxes. Each box has (84) tablets. So, a total of (252) tablets were received. This represents great value to us. The tablets are small, about as big as a quarter and about twice as thick. These tablets are marked as being mint, which we can smell when first opening the packaging. Our family member who uses this does not taste any mint though, possibly because they then rinse and wash the dental appliance afterward. Some people use these cleaning tablets for non-advertised uses, such as a toilet cleaner, the reader can do their own research on that. For advertised uses, read the precautions on the label and always ask a Dental Professional if use is appropriate in your circumstances. Always be cautious when using. Keep away from children. We would buy this again. We hope our pics and thoughts assist in any decision.
