Didn't know I needed until I got it

I'd tried putting my brown sugar in a gallon bag or in just the plain plastic pantry container. Tried this out and it keeps the soft texture SO much better! Just need to remember to resoak periodically.

This really works!

I definitely get frustrated buying a new box or bag of brown sugar, only to find it hard as a rock the second time I need to use it. When this arrived, I was shocked at how small it was - maybe 2 inches in diameter - but the directions were simple. After prep, I put it in a bag of brown sugar that was rigidly hard. Checked it the next day and I'll be doggoned if it wasn't as soft and pliable as if it were brand new. I honestly wasn't expecting that. ha But it definitely works. I just put 2 more in my cart - a backup for myself and one for my daughter. She'll flip.

Keeps brown sugar soft

Just make sure your brown sugar does not fill your container to where it touches the ceramic disc. It’ll take the brown coloring out of your brown sugar that it touches and clump it up.

It works as described but not a great value

This item, like most oxo products is overpriced for what it is and for what it does and what it's made of. I mean it does exactly what it claims to do but it will only work with oxo canisters... I believe a good portion of the cost of this is due to the brand name and their marketing if you can find a cheaper version I would buy it it's a very simple basic item that doesn't need the oxo brand to ensure quality.

It actually works!

I’ve been putting off buying this for a while, yet constantly faced with brown sugar going rock solid way too soon. After being tired of trying all the ways to soften brown sugar before using it, I gave in and bought this and the oxo container. In less than 24 hours hard brown sugar has returned back to its soft fresh texture. Best purchase of the month!

Magic

This works amazing. I had a bag of brown sugar that had turned to a brick. I used a hammer to break it into smaller pieces so it would fit in the OXO brown sugar container. I soaked the disc and attached it to the lid. The next morning the sugar was back to normal. It was like a miracle. This works great.

Keeps brown sugar soft

This fit right onto the lid of my oxo pop container and keeps brown sugar soft for a long time. It is very easy to use.

Works as promised!

This product keeps brown sugar moist as promised! It requires that the clay ring is soaked in water before its first use. After that, I rinse the clay ring each time I have the brown sugar canister lid open for an extended time.

Works, but doesn't actually attach to some containers

This says it attaches to all OXO lids A through E. The container that Amazon lists as a brown sugar container (and it has a picture of brown sugar on the paper insert) is lid C. But, it doesn't actually attach as the attachment point on the lid is too small for this. So, the only recourse is to just place this on top of the sugar. All that said, this item does actually work for its intended purpose of softening brown sugar, just not attaching to the container.

Idéal!

J’utilisais le contenant OXO seul, mais la cassonade ne restait pas fraîche et durcissait rapidement. Avec cette pastille de OXO en terre cuite, la cassonade reste fraîche jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y en ait plus. Je suis très satisfaite. De plus, elle se clip très bien dans le couvercle, sans réduire l’espace dans le contenant. *Bien suivre les instructions d’utilisation.
