Works as described but maybe a little too good...

Installed this on a pocket bathroom door that won't stay closed. This bathroom has a cold weather heater in it for the pipes so we really wanted the door to stay closed... ...this works as advertised. The door closes and holds position. My problem is that it has a pretty strong pull and I think children will have problems opening it or will get stuck inside the bathroom. Even though the door will be unlocked, they may panic and think they are locked inside. If they make one in the same size with slightly less pull, I'd buy it.

Important information missing

None of the descriptions or photos tell or show you that you must drill a large hole in your door frame. The magnet is strong and therefore large, and has to be recessed. The photo shows a circular form in the plate; behind it is a cylindrical magnet.

Pocket door magnets

Good magnets, strong and will keep the cats out of areas they are not supposed to be in. Instructions say drill a 3/4" hole, I found it was too tight, I used a 7/8" and it worked perfectly.

Crap

Fell apart. Magnet pulled right out of the base. No holding power. Door just bounced off. Save your money.

Sufficiently strong magnets.

Works as expected. Easy to install, and has a strong (but not too strong) magnetic hold. It will hold door closed even if doors are fighting against gravity.
