Hard to mount thick sanding discs

Good construction. Had a hard time getting the threads to catch mounting a heavy 3M ceramic sanding disc. Likely easier with thinner discs. But once mounted works great. Dissipates heat well.

Good sanding backer minus the nut

This is the best sanding backer you could want. I use this out in the field daily and my only complaint is the cheap aluminum nut they give you. .

Very Dangerous, DO NOT BUY. ....READ ALL OF THE ONE STAR REVIEWS ABOUT THEM EXPLODING

I have had two of these explode and both times injure my employees that were using them. The last one threw rubber chunks 30 feet after taking a chunk out of a finger. These used to be made in the USA and I still have an old worn out made in America one that is fine, but the latest two I bought no longer have "Made In The USA" printed on them and they both exploded. luckily no one was hurt really badly because as a business owner this is a huge liability. Sucks to see a great product ruined by the manufacturer trying to save a buck.

So far so good

Used it for 1 hr now on my large electric grinder at 5000 rpm -- worked perfectly on fiber glass. with very aggressive Mercer flex spiral grindng disks.

Hard to use.

The problem with this is the sanding pad threads onto you sander then on goes the sanding disc then the retainer gets threaded onto the sander. So you need to use the spanner wrench to tighten the retainer and then hope you have enough threads to tighten the whole affair up. Stick with a non threaded backer pad. Too bad really well built, but makes it a pain to change sanding discs.

Better than the hard plastic pads

These seem to hold up well on the small grinders using 36 grit sanding pads. They won't "shatter" and injure you or people around you.

it came apart

had it on a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder and after maybe 8 or 10 hours of use it exploded the rubber came of the aluminum center

No suficiente infomacion

no se ajusta a una amoladora Porter-Cable a pesar de tener el mismo tamaño de eje. la forma en que se desplaza la profundidad evita que se coloque la tuerca de retención
