Good lightweight shell

Use this shell for skiing. It has a slightly athletic fit but still has some room to layer under, keep that in mind if you want to heavy layer under this shell. If you plan to have a lot of midlayers you may want to size up. It's not super tight though probably between a regular fit and athletic fit.

Good so far!

Really nice gore-tex jacket. Fit (M) is good, a bit snug, but the Large was too big for me. I'm 5'8, 16 neck, 33 arms. After several months with this jacket and in some heavy rain, it performs like I expected a Gore Tex should. Stayed dry during walks with the dogs. I now think I have to get a large size, so that when winter comes, I can fit a thicker fleece under. The medium works well with a t-shirt, or dress shirt underneath, anything thicker, and the Medium would be uncomfortable for me. red color is really nice, still recommended!

Lets water through like a sieve

Is my jacket defective? Water goes straight through it when it rains. This is not what I was expecting from a Marmot Gore-tex jacket. It is already too late to return for a replacement or refund. Incredible.

Cheap looking jacket with shapeless form.

This was a very expensive jacket, close to $200. I wanted a light weight jacket that would keep me warm Fire short periods in snow conditions. This has the gel Anne look of Cheap windbreaker. I returned it immediately, so I’ll never know if it would have kept me warm. But it sure made me hot when I saw the cheap looking jacket I paid $200 fur.

Good

Lightweight & thick, good for outer layer. Zip stuck sometimes, nice red color, i have never tried it under the rain yet. But i tried to put some water on it for 30minutes, the water looked like get in to the outer layer. But still dry inside. spent 7 days for shipping, no additional charge, good.

it's awesome!

I usually wear M size and purchased that jacket in M size as well. However, I can easily put it over both my fleece and down jacket. Very comfortable one!

Good lightweight goretex waterproof

Has stood up to snow wind and rain and not yet been wet underneath despite being out in some horrible conditions. The pit vents are great for releasing heat on an active hike without letting in water, and stopping moisture build up inside jacket. Only criticism is zip is opposite to most uk produced coats. So that takes some getting used to, however once built into muscle memory it becomes second nature.

Good value when on offer

Priced at £215, managed to get after watching for several months for £128. It’s good. Waterproof is perfect, the vents work well, my only issue is the hem. It’s tighter than the rest. The large size allows me to wear a good size layer under, but the hem is a little restricting, it felt more comfortable rolled up over the waist and tightened. So either my bum is huge or I’m missing something ???? But all in all I’d buy again, the fit on the chest, shoulders and waist are great. Not tight and kept me dry in a rather wet 3 hour walk. Happy customer with a big butt seemingly ????

Very waterproof

I am a member of a local hill walking group on the West Coast of Scotland and one thing you need is water proof clothing. This jacket has been put to the test with some pretty extreme weather and past with flying colours. My only complaint is that the hood only has a draw string at the back, I don’t have a particularly big head so some side ones would have been good. I get round this problem by wearing a base ball cap inside the hood. But other than that it is good value for money in my opinion.

Awesome Jacket

I received this jacket as a gift for Xmas.... i have sworn it several times now in heavy rain and snow and found it to be excellent.

Very waterproof

The jacket is a very good waterproof. But I find the collar a pit high and when undone there is a lot of it flap around.
