Hardware issues

Horn is okay and easy to install. Unfortunately, I had two issues. The foam seal is thin and doesn't fit the base very well; I may caulk this as I'm not sure I trust it, and a rubber seal would've been better. The two nuts that hold the base to the hull were different sizes, so one didn't fit. I ran to the hardware store to buy a couple different sizes. The only nut that fit slips on the threads. I called Customer Service in the manual, and the number was disconnected. Be nice if seller sent me the correct one.

Great Horn

My boat launch is in freshwater, and I boat in salt water (Boston), so I have to pass through at least one pair of locks every time I go out on my boat. If I'm going up the Charles River, I have four total lock pass-throughs per boat ride. So I need a very loud, reliable horn I can use at a moments notice. I saw this horn on Amazon and noticed it's price was low. I kept watching it and noticed the price was cycling. I kept my eye on it and got it for a crazy deal, less than half of it's list price. I've used it for one full season and it has been great! You need to take some time to install it properly. You need a solid place to mount the pump, some good thick wires to power the pump, hooked up to a good pushbutton switch. And you need to drill some holes to mount the trumpet and to allow for the air hose to pass through the deck. My boat is only a small 15' speedboat, but I have enough horn for a boat twice my size :D Now I'm free to travel anywhere I want to go, without worrying about my horn-in-a-can running out of air, and getting stranded behind a lock gate.

Very loud horn. It was a direct replacement for the one on my boat. It also comes with an air pump and hose.

This horn is perfect for pontoon boats!! Sound carries long distance to warn unobservant Watercraft...

It's a nice set, good tone

It's a nice set, good tone, suitable for smaller craft probably 23' or less. Highly recommend replacing the tigon tubing with 1/4" fuel hose from you local auto parts store. Tigon is too flimsy and wants to kink around bends. All in all, nice product.

Look out, here I come!

This is the best horn I have ever owned. It has the perfect pitch and man.....is it ever loud! I mounted this on my 18ft runabout and it immediately added a touch of class to the boat. Installation was a snap. In about one hour I was driving my neighbours crazy blasting it on the driveway at cars driving by.
