This thing is a riot. Great first step into the hobby grade RC world.

Purchased this as my first "adult" RC truck. This thing is fantastic. Granted within the first 4 days of having it, I managed to run it flat out into a railing, catching the front left tire and completely destroying the control arm. Totally operator error. Was able to order the parts I needed to fix it, and had it back up and running in no time. Only remnant is that wheel is badly bent now from the impact. Other than that, it's tough as nails. I have since upgraded to a the Spektrum/firma 3300kv brushless motor and 85 amp ESC because I wanted to safely run 3S batteries. That combined with the high speed pinion and it absolutely rips. Gps speedo said 43mph. The tires are a bit of a weak point. They balloon badly running 3s, but that's not what they're designed to handle. But if you're running stock or keep it 2s brushless, they'll do fine. Great grip, but they get off balance quickly as they aren't vented on the outside and water will collect inside the tires if you don't put tape over the little vent holes inside the rims. Other than that it's been an absolute blast to bash around in parking lots and on the makeshift dirt and grass racetrack we made outside the warehouse I work at.

Amazing truck for $139.99

This is an incredible rc truck at this price point. Very fun on 2s lipo right out of the box, I would guess it's going around 25mph which is plenty of speed to have some fun with. I've treated this thing like I stole it and nothing has broken at all just beating up the body. I've done things with this truck I wouldn't dare do with many of the others I own. I just placed an order for a second one before I started writing this review, like I said for $139.99 it can't be beat.

Such a fun car!

We bought this for my son for Christmas. He has loved every second of driving it. I was skeptical afraid that the car would be broken in a week and a waste of money. This car has been ramed into everything trees, the house, the grill and no damage whatsoever. Would buy again 100%

Great value, but has some odd design choices

Overall, its a good buy. Rugged and solid (but mostly plastic to keep cost down), it will do well for most kids. Also not a terrible truck on the track. Definitely needs the brushless setup for competitive track use, but you can actually have a good outing with it bone stock. The issues... I had a boot up where it was completely out of sync with the transmitter. It would idle at about 20% throttle and would have some steering lock in it. I turned both TX and car off, and when it came back on and it was back to normal. The second issue, the battery loading. What a pain in the backside. With some LiPos the leads point straight up and this interferes with loading. I have to continuously unplug the battery leads and the balancing lead, put it in the truck and then plug them back it to the battery, only then can I plug in the the speed controller battery lead. Minor problem, but annoying. Also the battery foam is a little too big or too stiff and will need to be trimmed down. I also don't like the idea of using the odd blue plug (EC5). I would suggest looking at the brushless version (about $50 more expensive) if you are looking for speed, but this one is pretty fun to drive. Overall, its a good buy and very expandable.

Losi Lover!!

This RC is flat out awesome!! I have a seton which is 4wd, and the losi is 2wd, and in my opinion, the losi flat out has better control. It’s easily upgradeable, i just recommend a lipo battery. Very well worth the money.

100% hobby grade.

The media could not be loaded. Purchase this truck as a spear for new people to try at the track. Five visits, multiple hard crashes, at least 20 3s battery packs through it, still nothing broke. I personally hit a fence at full speed, straight on and broke nothing. When I see other people who have snapped them in 2 I can only imagine what abuse it took. If you want to truck you can take out of the box, bring to the track, and practice laps. This is definitely for you. Being hobby grade means parts support is plentiful and available at most local hobby stores. Don't get me wrong, this truck will definitely require upgrades if you want to be even a little bit competitive. But as is, it will definitely get you going.

Not hobby grade!

I was really surprised at the poor quality of this Losi Kicker truck. I have AE, WPL, and Hosim trucks and buggies to compare to. I would consider this more akin to a toy like the HOSIM units. The shocks don't 'squish', the motor is tired on 2S, and the steering servo is slow. With a 3s it goes fast enough, but the lack of steering authority make it difficult to drive. The rear shock exploded on the second battery! doing easy laps on our home track. Would not recommend.

Definitely hobby grade

Saw some reviews saying this wasn’t hobby grade. Suite yourself but when a cheap brushless combo dusts your vxl slash at the track, I’d be mad too. This thing is a bit slow out of the box but with a cheap Chinese brushless system it absolutely hauls! It’s a lighter short course chassis than the slash and also lower centre of gravity from factory making it handle amazing right out the box. MY ONLY COMPLAINTS: - stock servo is painfully slow for racing and even for bashing around honestly - stock tires grip pavement like crap - stock parts aren’t as adjustable as some other hobby grade stuff, however this can be improved with upgrade parts if you want to seriously put a lay down at the track - stock receiver and transmitter have horrendous range, the car will stop responding from like 50m away a lot which can be very annoying Aside from these caveats, once you sort the electronics, (china brushless: $60, servo: $20, transmitter/receiver: $40) it’s an absolute beast! If you have a kid looking for a first truck, look no further! And just upgrade as you wear things out/ break them.
