Darker than thought

Non drying and the staying power is pretty good. It does fade a bit mid day which I appreciate since the Rosewood was a bit more intense than anticipated. It fades to a more natural tone. Will try Tawny next.

The Rosewood is a lot darker than I expected. Can you get a refund on this product?

Did they change the name of this color? I previously bought Mauve but it's not available here. The Rosewood is too dark for me although I do like how long it lasts.

Great happy medium between traditional and matte lipstick

One of my favorite lip colors! The color is a very nice rosy brown, and I think it strikes a nice balance between pink and brown. However, I agree with the other reviewer that it is definitely darker in real life than it is in this photo (which is either good or bad depending on your preference). It is certainly very pigmented and you can get full color in just one swipe. I actually had to adjust and learn to use a lighter hand, to not put too much on. The texture is creamy and a bit thicker than most traditional lipsticks I have tried. I actually think it's a bit of a misnomer to call it "matte", because it's different from most other matte lipsticks I've tried. The staying power doesn't match up to most matte liquid lip colors I've tried (where I could only apply it once and forget about it). I did have to reapply after eating. However, the staying power also beats a lot of traditional lipsticks I've worn, too. Most of the color was still on and I just needed a slight touchup. So the staying power is somewhere between most traditional lipsticks and liquid matte lipsticks. It fades nicely and evenly, when it does fade. The look of it is also different than most matte lipsticks I've tried. It's not glossy per se, but has a slight satin sheen to it and is not as flat/dry looking as most matte lip colors. A bonus is that it's also not as drying as most matte lip colors either. If you're looking for something that is longer lasting than traditional lipsticks, yet find most matte lip colors too drying (like me), this is definitely worth a try.

Good neutral color, smells like candy

I have most of the colors in this product but the color I am reviewing is "Rose" (which is the same as "Rose Brown.") I believe the old ones are called Rose but that the color has since been renamed. I like the fact that these pencils carry easily in a small purse and that they don't require a sharpener or an extra lip liner. They feel dry however, so I generally condition my lips before applying. Then I apply it as a liner and a filler, and then I rub in the color and finish with gloss or more lip conditioner. I would describe the color as a muted rose. It has a brown undertone. On me it is a good substitute for red, as I don't wear bright colors well, It's pretty neutral, which is why I like to keep it in my purse along with a pink gloss gloss and a gold gloss so I have a spectrum of color with me all the time. At Ulta, I'm told, this is the most popular shade in this line. They're always out of it.

This is literally theee best! I will buy more, everyone always says the color is beautiful. And it last me almost the whole day even after drinking beverages or eating.

Longgggg lasting!

Loved this Lorac lipstick, It made me want to try all of there products! I put this to the test on a hot summer day, did not disappoint! It looked good after 6 hours! I was shocked because I’ve tried other high end lipstick like MAC (love them ) it’s comparable if not better!
