This project measured the weight of my suitcase very accurately. In fact, it was the same at the airport as when I weighted it at home. Hopefully it will last long.

Accurate weight measurement for airline travel

I have used this hand scale 5 times for local and international travel and it provides accurate measurements. In fact, it normally weighs 1 or 2 pounds less when I weigh my bags at the airport and I am able to remove stuff from my carry on and place in my checked luggage. No more hassle at the airport to repack my bags due to overweight. The only downside is the area for your hand to hold the scale. It could be wider and my hand is slim. I solved this problem by placing a sturdy piece of PVC pipe in the handle and holding the pipe at either end. I am hopeful that it will last me for a long time and continue to be accurate.

Wish I’d bought this YEARS ago…

Perfect for knowing before you get to the airport that some onerous counter agent won’t have you on your knees in front of a terminal full of people, looking for that heavy item you can sacrifice to the bin. PLUS….it’s analog, so no batteries to go bad while it waits for your next trip.

Good addition to your travel check list

It a good product easy to use and read. The only set back is that the rim on the face and plastic cover falls apart too easy. The need to make it more secure.

Cost high for the quality of the product.

Practical product for travel, a reason to pick a unit without digital display and need of batteries, can use in arctic cold weather. Digital display tends to freeze. The product is easy to use, with a tape measure. Found a little large for a carry-on or to pack in a full bag. The quality of the materials feels of low quality. If under $10 would be a great purchase.
