Don’t let the water in the tube freeze

I didn’t even know there were replacement tubes for the guage until Amazon suggested I might want one. How did they know mine cracked and broke. Do not leave water in your tube if it’s cold out.

Great value

This is a quality rain gauge, but unfortunately just a smidge too large for my holder. Be sure to really measure well when ordering any replacement . . .

Simple drop-in replacement

My previous tube broke due to water freezing in it. This was a great replacement - simple drop-in, bigger labels so easier to read from inside the house. I did not attempt to calibrate it so no idea of accuracy but looks similar to the previous.

Too fragile

We empty the gauge regularly, but it shattered with about a half inch of water in it at the first hard freeze. We prefer the look of glass, but will be trying plastic next time.

Markings Came Off

I bought this particular rain gauge because I liked that the inches are divided in tenths instead of eights like most, however, a year later the markings are coming off (see photo). The ad said it has a two year limited warranty so I’ll try to get it replaced but this time I’ll put a strip of clear Gorilla Tape over the numbers and lines.

Jack Frost broke the first one.

Great replacement. Make sure you take it in to the house before winter or you'll be buying another replacement next spring.

Markings wear off!!!

nice looking and useful rain collector but after a few months the markings are wearing off...useless!!!
