Pretty and Helps to Keep Feeder Dry

Really love the look of this rain guard. The leaf pattern is very pretty. And it helps to keep the feeder dry. I just wish the hook that connects to the underside were shorter so that the feeder could be closer to it. The hook on the underside/inside is too long, which makes the feeder further from its protection than I would like. Other than that, it's perfect.

Looks fantastic and will order again!

Used it all last summer and when I brought the feeder in for the winter, this cover looked just like when I bought it. Will order again this spring for one of my other feeders!

Too small

Unfortunately, this cover was only slightly larger than our bird feeder so it wouldn’t have protected said feeder from rain. Otherwise, it’s quite pretty and well made.

Pretty, but not large diameter. Hooks too long for diameter.

I replaced the hooks that came with it with safety wire to ensure the bird feeder didn't hang so far below the guard. Works great, does its job. I see complaints of rust. Mine hangs in a tree. I've had no rust issues as of yet. This is maybe 8 months after purchase and I just purchased a second.

My birds love it!

Does the job! My "liquid crack" would get overflown with rain water and wasted, then the birds come yelling for a refill. This topper definitely doesn't keep every spec of rain away, but I have no overflowing issues and the nectar is no longer diluting! Yay! ????(Inserts non-existent hummingbird emoji)

Best with small feeders with short hooks.

I used to have a really nice red umbrella-shaped metal cover on my hummingbird feeder. I had it for many years until it finally started to rust and looked shabby. I bought this as a replacement because I could no longer find the umbrella one. Because others reported issues with rust, I sprayed this unit with a couple coats of clear enamel as a preventative measure before setting up. Assembly is simple. You screw the hooks in on the top and underside, hang the cover where you need and hook your feeder to the underside. The cover seems sturdy enough. Because the hanging hook/post of my feeder is so long, however, the cover really isn’t wide enough to offer much shade. This cover looks nice, but it would be much more effective if it were a larger diameter, and if it were attached to feeder with a shorter hanging hook. Keep that in mind if you want to shade hummingbird nectar.

No overflowing hummingbird feeder during rain storm.

Even the recent California storm could not get the hummingbird feeder overflow. Our little hummingbird was even sitting underneath it. Great product and very sturdy.

Nice product but showing signs of rust

I like the look of the item and it helps keep rain off of my birdfeeder; however, I purchased it in September 2021 and by the end of October, it already had signs of rust on it. It's not a big deal because it's copper in color and I can buy copper spray paint, but since it's sold as an outdoor product, I thought it would have been able to handle the weather better than it did.

Stops some squirrels but not all.

Sturdy. Gave it a spray of clear rust paint. Looks great after a year Too small to stop all squirrels. It stops some of them. It may lead to evolution.

Pretty little weather guard

This works perfect to protect my little humming bird feeder. Not suitable for a squirrel guard if thats what you are looking to buy. I would recomend a clear coating the weather guard or it will rust quickly and not look as pretty. That is the reason for the lower star.
