Better than compostable
We made the switch from compostable bags when we learned that they don't break down in the landfill and couldn't be commercially composted in our area. These bags are sturdier than anything we used previously. We wish they were an inch or two longer, but they work (we have a 60lb dog) as long as we're careful when when we tie them off. It would be nice to have them packaged on a single bulk roll. 4 stars because a few had holes at the seam.

Best Sustainable Poop Bags!
I love these bags! I have gone through about 50 of these bags so far and have had zero problems - none are open at the bottom or sealed at the top or anything. Also, the box they come in just gets a label put on it and is what is shipped, so no extra packaging!! The purple is a nice touch because it's my favorite color, too haha. These do not come in a roll, but are all attached to some plastic at the top. This doesn't really matter to me either way because I just tie ~5 of them to the leash at a time anyway. My only negative comment is that the plastic that the tops are attached to is wasted. My journey: We live in an apartment and therefore must use plastic bags for dog poop. These bags made from recycled plastic are our best option for being sustainable. The ones provided by our apartment complex are really thick and big, so I used to use cheap dollar tree bags and felt that I was at least using less plastic that way (dollar tree bags are very thin). I looked into biodegradable bags, but my research uncovered that they are only biodegradable under very specific conditions of composting, so biodegradable is really a scam in my opinion. So I searched for recycled plastic bags on Amazon, and most of what I found was boxes and the plastic tube at the middle of the roll of bags were made of recycled materials, not the bags themselves. I ended up finding these bags and one other brand Hippo Sak who actually use recycled plastic for the bags themselves. The Hippo Sak ones only come in extra large, which I don't need and would be a waste for a 7 lb dog's poop. So I chose these purple bags and I'm very happy with my purchase!

Solid and sustainable - they get the job done!
Have had zero problems with them for my 30lbs dog. I like the thickness - so much better than the free ones I got from the vet. Will repurchase and would recommend

For small dogs only
Their old bags were much deeper and allowed the waste to settle at the bottom with plenty of room to tie it off. These bags are too small!

The most sustainable dog bag
I just started to use these poop bags and I really like them so far! These are the most sustainable ones that you can buy on Amazon, after doing my research I found out that the green compostable bags don't actually biodegrade after they are thrown away and end up in a landfill. They only biodegrade in a home compost setting because industrial facilities will not accept dog waste. That means that they are actually worse than regular plastic bags. Because I live in an apartment these bags are the most environmentally friendly way except for using junk mail, which I have done several times.

Too difficult to open the bags!
So difficult to open the bag! It’s very thin and there’s no good way to get the sides separated to open the bag to use it. The only success I’ve had is stretching the bag out in one corner which creates a little space to pull the sides apart. Very frustrating. If the bags opened more easily I’d give it 4 stars.
