Good hair pin

I was skeptical of if this hair pin would work. I have shoulder length, medium thick, curly hair and have difficulty finding hair tools that can hold my hair, especially when it is longer. To my surprise these pins hold it pretty well. The wavy shape of the pins is a big help to having it hold well. I adjust these way less than other hair pins I have thought the day. I gave 4 stars only b/c my one wish is they were more rigid like other pins I have. These are plastic and feel more flexible, like they will break easier, than other thicker plastic pins I have. They are worth a try though. They are good for buns and I can even do good French twists with them.

False advertising

I've had these for a few months now and they haven't broken, but most of the paint has chipped off of them and they're not cute anymore lol. When you get them, it's automatically obvious they aren't real bamboo like advertised, they're just painted plastic. I didn't expect that with normal wear the paint would have flaked off like it has... no sealant? I have fine hair with medium thickness and I have a tiny bit of trouble sometimes getting them to stay in, so I feel like anyone with thicker hair than mine would definitely struggle. There are little feet to help grip onto the hair but they're so small I don't really notice them helping a lot. The thing that gets me is that I try to reduce my carbon footprint as much as I can, (not to an extreme, just within modern reason... obvi I shop online and stuff). But it just really made me sad they advertised these as eco-friendly when they're the exact opposite. If you care about that sort of thing, I wouldn't recommend them, but if you don't I guess they're decent enough.

Too big

These French clips are too big and too clumsy for small hair pull ups. I thought they were smaller and won't be using them. They are also too wide and you need a lot of hair to stick them into so they can't accommodate more dainty uses.

No sharp points to scratch your scalp

These can spread apart after a while and the paint rubs off, but they still work well. They feel better than metal combs. You have to fiddle with them to get the hang of it, but once you do, they keep your hair in place very well without pulling your hair or scalp.

They’re cute and easy.

Cute and easy. Not thick hair friendly. I use both in my hair as mine is too thick for one. I have had lots of people ask where I found them.

these pins keep my thick hair in place!

These are sturdy and colorful, they add some nice stylish touches to my up-do. The color doesnt last indefinitely so I purchased some acrylic in colors that complement my wardrobe to do touchups. The shape and texture and size is what matters and is hard to find elsewhere. Purchased a bunch of them so I would always have them. I wear them daily.
