Worth the expense

I’ve used other lubricants on my 25 year old Genie screw drive garage door opener in the past. They work, but the garage door opener has always been loud. I recently had the springs replaced and the garage door tech used a tube of this Genie screw grease on my opener’s screw. WOW! It cut the operating noise in half! He told me to apply more in about a month and that would last an additional 6 months or so. I’ll definitely ensure I keep this product on hand.

20 year old Genie garage door opener.

I have a screw drive type genie garage door opener that I had previously lubed with a different product. The different lube dripped and clogged up the screw drive. This product worked like charm. Follow instructions and you will love this lube.

What we were told to use

Our garage door installer told me to use this lube for the opener when it was installed. It's been 20 years and no problems so my take on this is that it does the job.

Quality grease for garage door

These are what you need for your garage door grease. My only problem is it takes all three to grease your garage door gear and can’t understand why it has to be only in these small tubes with nothing left.

This did the trick!

Our screw type garage door opener was so loud that I was embarrassed to use the door. Previously I have been using a silicone type spray to lubricate the screw mechanism which was super messy and only lasted for a couple of days. I purchased this grease and discovered that it is easy to apply without the dripping mess from the spay lube I had been using. The garage door now runs almost as quietly as when it was new 15 years ago. One small tube contains just the right amount of grease for one application. Easy to use and saved me from purchasing a whole new garage door opener which I was planning to do because of the noise. I had used the spray silicone method several times per year with poor results. I just goes to show, doing a bit of research and then using the correct solution for an application is much wiser than doing what “should” work, based on limited knowledge. Hoping to get more years of quite service from our garage door opener by using the correct product to keep it running smoothly. Very pleased to have finally figured this out. Terry from Texas
