A little more difficult than you would think to install

A little expensive for what it is and although it only takes one screw to install, you have to remove the burner and the inner wall to get to that screw. I had to use a torch to heat the metal to get it to release because of the rust.

Great Upgrade

Original igniter was getting tired. Had to keep pushing the red button many, many times. Found this retrofit kit and installed it on our Kettle 2 Grill. Now, with one button push you can hear the repeated electronic 'arcs' firing away. Just hold in the black button until it ignites the gas!

It works perfectly! So much better than the push button Pizeo one. Lights every time.

Igniter failed within first year with minimal use.

Would be good if igniter lasted, but it failed in way too short of a time and of course long enough that there was no warranty claim that could be made. This is often the issue with items purchased off Amazon.

Magma quality but pricey

Excellent, but very expensive for what it is. Our Magma bbq has been on the back of boats and left in hostile conditions, in the desert on a stand, we’ve had it for 15 years. The piezo went and this is a replacement for ease of use.
