Fresh machine!

I love them! I use the machine to clean my dogs beds, blankets, toys and all their stuff so after that I use one of these cubes to clean the machine. My washer has the “clean” button so I just throw the cube inside and select the mode. After that the machine has a really fresh and clean scent. Ready to use with our clothes. Recommended.

This is an easy and very simple weekly cleaner. We only use it once a month, but it's just the two of us. It works better than others I've tried.

Easy to use, still evaluating effectiveness

As someone who's already replaced the door gasket on our front load washer once, anything to keep from having to do that again, (or at least prolong it) is worth investigating. So how did these tablets perform? Ok, I guess. They were easy to use. Dissolve the tablet in water and run it through the machine like you would detergent. Wait overnight (if you can) before running a regular wash load. Are they keeping the scum out? Considering I had recently replaced the gasket, I didn't really have any and a month isn't a lot of time for it to develop so I'm still evaluating this. My only real gripe so far is that you get 6 tablets and are supposed to do this monthly. More in bag would have been nice as we'll be through this bag before we know it.

Gives my Washing Machine a Thorough Cleaning

I own a GE high efficiency top load washer that reprocesses water during the wash cycle to clean clothes. Saves me a fortune on the water bill every month. Doesn’t have a soap dispenser, so I just dropped one of these PureAdvantage probiotic washer cleaner tablets directly into the inner drum and ran a warm cycle. Checked on the results after about two hours and the tablet was completely dissolved. The washer smelled fantastic. Sticky soap film that lined the inner drum was totally gone. Reminded me of the first time I used my washing machine. The good thing about this washer is that it keeps water stored in the permanent balance ring that the inner drum sits on. So, the continuous cleaning benefits of the “Advanced probiotic technology” tablet is always at work even when the washing machine is not running. I always keep the lid open to avoid the build up of mold and mildew. I’m very impressed after my initial use of this washer cleaner tablet. Know it supposed to keep my washer looking this way for a month. I’ll be happy if it remains this way for a couple of weeks. I use my washing machine an awful lot.

Fine - doesn't remove mildew or mold stains

I was really hoping this would help with mildew and mold stains, it doesn't. It doesn't claim to, I just kind of had some wishful thinking. That being said, these are fine. We didn't have a huge stink in our front loader before using them but it does seem fresher now. I also cleaned the filter out at the same time and the instructions suggest for best results to leave it overnight which is what I did.

Helped with residual odors from over the years

I use these tabs in a Samsung front load washer and they work even tho branded for Electrolux. If I dissolve the tab in the detergent cup it doesn’t seem to distribute all the way. So I just put the tab straight into the drum now. Let it air dry with the door open overnight after running and you’ll have a noticeable reduction in that musty nasty smell left in washers from years of use. Great product!

Slightly annoying to have to dissovle it in a cup, but it worked well!

In order to use this, you are supposed to dissolve it in a cup and then pour it into the soap dispenser and leave it overnight. This is a different approach than I've seen for any other washing machine cleaner, which is typically throw the tablet in and run a clean cycle. After following the instructions and leaving it overnight, I didn't visually see any difference in my LG washer (which has a stainless tub and is about 8 years old). That being said, I typically run Affresh monthly, so I don't think there was a large buildup of anything to have been removed (I'm a bit OCD about washing my cloths in a dirty washer if you can't tell!). I'll probably purchase this again since it clearly has a different approach to cleaning the washer. What I plan to do is alternate between Affresh and this Electrolux PureAdvantage every month. I also clean the filter on my washer once a month and with this product vs Affresh, I did not notice any more/less gunk in the filter.

Tough to dissolve, but it works

It took quite a while for the tablet to dissolve—assisted by my crushing it with a fork. It’s no Alka-Seltzer tab! Once I did that, I poured it in the washer dispenser, closed the door, left it for six hours and then ran a load. The washer did end up clean and fresh smelling, and it’s remained fresh smelling and looking for a couple of weeks now.
