Good value for money. Professional level fit and finish. Space saving.

This was relatively simple to install and finishes easily. Soldering the pipes into the valves was relatively easy, but you must be careful with the angle of your torch or you can easily burn and melt the plastic. The built-in hammer-arresting ends aren’t quite as effective as I had hoped, as I still here standing wave oscillation squeaks during the HE washing machine’s repeated fast opening and closing if its solenoid valves. Still, hopefully it is making it better than it might otherwise be. All in all a good product and the best I could find for the price. Makes the installation much more professional looking than just having the valves sticking out of the drywall, along with saving space by keeping the drain and valves recessed into the wall cavity.

Good product.

Great product for this price. Sturdy plastic. Cold expansion pex connections. Will buy again. Make sure it’s the right pex connector you are looking for. NOT for crimp pex.

Flimsy construction needs 2 supports per side

Box is too thin, especially at bottom where valves are. Most other boxes have two supports per side to attach to studs. This one only has one. If I could have found a different unit for PEX-A I would have bought it. It seems like it is going to work but care will have to be taken when attaching hoses to not break the plastic

Cheap plastic nice valves

The plastic box could not be any thinner or inferior than it is. When you close the valve you can watch the bottom of the white box flex. I have no faith in this lasting for 20+ years like the ball valve built into the arrestor.

More than one type Type of PEX and NOT interchangeable!

Seconding the review that instructs the first reviewer that for this particular valve you must use EXPANSION PEX, which is PEX a, or type A PEX. There are also types B and C which (at least with type B) use CRIMP or Push In connectors. Big box stores have B type pipe and connectors In stores but usually not PEX a. Lowes and Amazon at least have Type A online but READ the specs CAREFULLY. Type A is generally considered a more secure connection and less likely to leak as well as more flexible and better for freezing weather but you MUST have a more expensive tool setup and the right fittings. If you do. Personally I like working with Type A/Expansion PEX. The PEX types A, B and C are not higher or lower in quality but are more of a “mission specific “ choice. PEX is a cool way to do plumbing with but I had to (painfully) learn the hard way about the specific types - and they don’t really make it that easy to learn.

Valves do not perform their main function of shutting off the water.

The ball inside is defective, does not seal. I wish I had tested before I had a plumber out because it cost me much more than the cost of the item to reinstall some other valves, they were also quarter turn ball valves but were obviously much more sturdy with a larger ball inside. I am using the box but this was a bad deal.

Not for pex

This is not for pex pipe. Had to modify the fittings to connect pex pipe. Cost me another $35 to make it work

Not for Pex

Producted, or at least the one I received, is falsely detailed. The 1/2" pex connection (which also has '1/2"' engraved on them) is quite literally the size of the tubing. I put up a 3/4" tube to it and it goes over MUCH too loose. There is nothing I can connect with this, to this, for this. I'm picking one up from the store. This is getting returned.

Plastic is a little thin and flimsier than expected

The plastic on the box seems a little thinner and flimsier than expected. When you fasten the mounting brackets to your 2x4's the box distorts but can be pushed back square when surrounded with drywall cutout.
