Dycemen.

For my sewing machine foot pedal
I only buy these for my foot pedals. I have one for my Bernina, one for my Janome M7 and one for my Bernina serger. They do not slip and stand up to a ton of lint being on them still maintaining their anti slip. It's a sewing room....threads, lint etc collect on them and they maintain their grip. To clean you just run under water and they are like brand new. Don't waste your money on specialty sewing machine foot pads that don't really work that great....these are the only way to go.

Perfect!
Used for sewing machine foot pedal. Finally, it doesn’t scoot all over the tile floor or carpeting! Well worth it!

Perfect for keeping things from slipping
I have three of these, one yellow and one green in this size and a larger yellow. I got the small sizes to place in my desk chair to keep me from slipping down in my chair, to help me keep my posture. Work perfectly. The only downside is if I'm wearing shorts and my skin is against it, then it sticks to me when I get up. There's no pain from pulling it off, just an annoyance. The big one I have under my desk with a box of cards on top that I use for a foot rest. That plastic box doesn't go anywhere. If needed, I would definitely buy again.

Keeps me from sliding out of my office chair
This is an expensive mat but it solved the problem of me or my wife sliding out of our leather office chair. The chair has a slight forward lean and it is just enough to cause you to slide your butt off the seat. I put this pad down and we sit on it. The mat effectively grips against the chair leather and creates enough friction to keep whomever is seated from sliding forward. For the purpose it looks great, but looks a little weird. Note to the company making them: There is a big product opportunity making these with a more rounded shape suited a good looking office chair base. Take one to an office supply place, figure out the common chair seat dimensions and make them in colors to fit. You'll fill an unfulfilled product need. Your mat is great for this.

Expensive but useful (and there are no alternatives)
As an occupational therapist I have long recommended Dycem products for my patients. On this occasion I purchased this for my elderly mother who has lost the use of one of her hands. This is an enormous pad that is great for a counter or table. This helps her keep things from sliding around as she works with them. No, it won't magically remove her difficulties--just reduce them a bit. If there is any drawback on any Dycem product it is the cost. If there was a greater consumer demand or product competition, they would be less expensive, but as a niche product, I'm simply glad its available.

Can not be used for a mat on the floor.
Not what I was looking for.

Great anti slip aid.
I got this for another purpose than placemat. I sit on it. I’m in a wheelchair & some fabrics are slippery & I sometimes slide in my chair because of it. And used for mat for floor so feet don’t slip during transfers. Love it! I’ve seen/used the colorful thinner Dycem in Rehab. This is thicker- more substantial and I prefer the black over the loud colors. Wish I bought this years ago.
