Extremely bright

This light is excellent and extremely bright...love it!!

Mostly good product

There's a lot to like about this lantern, and some annoying things. More good than bad. The good - the light is pretty bright, but doesn't blind you if you look right at it. It provides useful coverage. I really like the ability to shut off one side of the light (Saves battery life if it is positioned in a corner). I like that it uses readily available AA batteries. I like the handle. The weight is at the bottom so it isn't too tippy, and you don't need a screwdriver to replace the batteries. I don't like the "on" button. It has very little tactile feel pushing it, and it is difficult to locate in the dark; it doesn't stand proud of the base very much. I also have some quality control concerns; I bought 2 of these at the same time and 1 was DOA. Amazon handled the return very well but it was still a hassle. The packaging is absolutely awful, very stiff blister pack material, difficult to open. I wish it had a magnetic base, and although the handle is better than some, it is a little flimsy. Overall, I am pleased with the product and do give it a thumb's up.

Not always lights up as supposed to

From the beginning, at times you turn it on and the light stays very low. Not sure there is a bad contact somewhere. When I first got it took a day or so until I could see the full brightness of it. When completely lit, it is very good.

Convenient, portable with lots of light

I bought this just days before Hurricane Ian. It arrived before the storm. We never lost power, but I anticipated using these as bathroom lights. What I love about this lantern is the range of brightness. It is super bright down to an orange glow nightlight. It’s very versatile.

Compact yet super bright, Duracell quality

My grandfather worked for Duracell for decades as an industrial chemist and I am glad to see they still continue a tradition of high quality with the brand licensing. Picked up two of these lanterns as holiday gifts and the people who received them were elated. My brother said the high brightness mode was much brighter than expected and was looking forward to taking this camping. Indeed, the range of modes makes this lantern useful in many situations. Even the emergency flasher mode is a nice feature and the quality seems very good overall for being made of plastic. I really like that batteries are included as it makes the package complete. It is a bit smaller than I expected but not tiny, and anyone who has had to pack a car to take the family camping can tell you that extra space is a premium while traveling and a good light is a necessity. I plan to order more of these in the future.

Great for emergency lighting

This was my second purchase of this light. I liked the first one so much and decided to buy another to have in a second area of the house should the power go out. Bright without glare.
