Too long

This was perfect except it was too long for my needs. There was no easy way to shorten it and no other option for purchase.

Sold as a 1/2"

The pipe is a great item. Although it's sold as 1/2" the size is really 3/8". Easy fix. Go to hardware store and buy a 1/2" to 3/8" pipe reducer and screw them together. Works great no bend with the heat as of yet.

The description written says the pipe is half inch diameter. No,it isn't.

Buyer, beware. The item described is not what the seller described. The description clearly states the pipe diameter ir 1/2 inch. It is not, (it's3/8 in diameter). Instead of Frankensteining my fire place, I took an $18.00 loss and threw the garbage out.

Perfect fit & great price

My local fireplace store is selling these for $30 due to "high demand" and the big box stores don't carry them at all. Ordered this one and it fits perfectly and is well made. Thank you Amazon Prime!

Low Quality - Short Term Use

These do their job initially, but don't hold up. I installed two of them and each has performed the same. They initially do a good job. After a season of fires the pipe is bent/warped, some of the holes are obstructed, and the surface of them are corroded. They already need to be replaced. I know what you're thinking. No, they're not full of ash. I uninstalled them and checked. I had to remove them and clear the holes that were closed due to corrosion. These are a great price, but next time I'll spring for a more premium product.
