4a/4b natural hair gel

This is one of my FAVORITE hair gels for my natural hair. It moisturize my hair and it keeps my hair curly. It mixes well with Xtreme gel and water. 7 years natural so I'd say I'm somewhat knowledgeable on my haircare routine. It's definitely worth buying!

One of the best curl definers

Probably my 100th bottle but I use this with their blue bottle and two other gels and it gets my hair super defined and curly. It's really good for detangling too! My hair likes gel-like vs. cream substances so this is perfect.

It holds a curl alright, but my curls fell after a couple hours. The scent is very weird and chemical. If you’re looking for a gel for slickbacks this would be alright instead of for your curls!

Cheap Yes, but you get what you paid for.

This does work, but it is also thick like toothpaste and hard to squeeze out of the bottle. It helped to form my curls at first, then when dry my hair frizzed out more. It dries and makes your hair soft but the frizzing out later is no bueno. The smell is meh, not something that smells amazing and I am not thrilled with the smell at all.

Only use for updos

The gel goes on great but ones it dries it is crunchy and it flakes. I have kinky curly hair and I prefer my curls to be soft and moisturized. I don’t like gels that make my hair feel hard, stiff, and flake after I they are dry. I won’t waste the gel so I’ll use it closer to wash day and not to slick back the front and back of an updo.
