Stunk Like a Skunk Until Now

“I don’t normally leave reviews” type of person weighing in here. Can’t believe this little stick has totally stopped all armpit stink. Really great product, and when I saw it was salt- I had high hopes it would work. Salt destroys most types of bacteria by sucking all the water through the cell wall. You could achieve the same effect as this deodorant stick by dabbing a wipe in water then table salt before applying to your underarms and seeing if it works for you before you buy. I did this, and it worked albeit- you really have to dissolve the salt otherwise it becomes gritty and a white powder after it dries. The stick is very smooth, feels like glass when it’s wet gliding on and leaves no residue when dry. I don’t sweat noticeably, but whenever I’m stressed I start to stink bad. The properties that makeup stress-sweat are different then regular sweat, and when the bacteria on your skin digest it, it creates a MUCH smellier result. Unfortunately I started living a high stress lifestyle due to my job, and the more I stress the stinkier I become. I take hygiene seriously, so the fact I smelled bad enough to need to clean my underarms every time I used the bathroom was upsetting to say the least. I was covering up by wearing thick sweaters because deodorant wasn’t enough to mask the smell, making me sweat more causing an even bigger stink. I’ve used the crystal stick the past few days by showering at night and applying it, then either showering again in the morning or just applying it without another shower after I wake up. I’ve suspiciously sniffed my armpits, expecting to get hit with that same stench I’ve learned to live with after all other deodorants have failed. But... nothing! After a full day of very stressful work, I still don’t smell. I used to reek within 30 minutes after a shower. Before I was pretty much just trying to cover up the smell by slathering deodorant goo all over my pits and constantly scrubbing them with water and soap during every potty break. It all felt so dirty. Tonight after an extremely stressed day without a shower, I was able to go out in a sleeveless top in public. To do this before the crystal stick, I always had to shower, exfoliate my pits, and put on copious deodorant prior to going out- and still ended up smelling if I became stressed or anxious. Cute packaging and a product that does what it promises! I will likely use this product or a similar one the rest of my life. It really kills all smell and bacteria.

Amazing and lasts forever

I’ve been using this deodorant for years and years and there is nothing like it. It doesn’t leave stains on my shirts. It doesn’t aggravate my skin. It just works flawlessly and I’d recommend it to everyone! Such a great product.

Great for light effort/temp days, not so much for truly hot or active days

Pros: * Lasts forever. Seriously. It says a year, but my last one made it 2 and I'm only giving up on the last bit because I dropped it, broke it in half, and half went down the sink drain. (Which will now not smell like sweat. Win-win!) * No aluminum or other nasty chemicals that close to the boobage, which is sensitive and should be treated as such. * Works well to reduce odors during normal, everyday tasks. Spring, fall, winter, and warm (not hot) days of summer. * Not an antiperspirant, which means it doesn't clog pores causing underarm acne or inflamed sweat glands. * Use it right out of the shower, a splash of water on it and swipe madly under each arm, and it's great! Cons: * Gives up when it hits 90 degrees or heavy activity, and you smell... natural. We don't want to smell natural, that's why we purchase deodorant. * Doesn't actually stop sweating, but it does reduce odor. Good for reasons above, but sweat. Overall, totally worth it and will remain my go-to. The two pack will probably last about 5 years. Unlike the version I purchased locally earlier, it seems like these crystals are firmly attached to the bases of their containers. Be sure to shake off any excess water and place them on a water-resistant surface as some will still linger on the bottom of the applicator after normal use.

It would be nice if it lasted a little longer.

It took me a little bit to get used to having to hold it underwater and then use it. It would be nice if the product would prevent odor a little bit longer but this is better than my alternative.

Perfect for me!

I love this product! The only downside is the product separates from the housing that contains it after you use about 1/3 of it.

Works well

I can’t use regular deodorant or natural deodorant with sodium bicarbonate due to allergy and the crystal deodorant is the best natural deodorant I have found. I have tried ALL kinds. This crystal is pretty good but if I sweat a lot or work out, I have to use another deodorant. The Native sensitive deodorant works fairly well also and I use it when I need to reapply. The crystal can be somewhat a hassle since you have to wet it and is a little messy Bc it leaves granules. I just put it in a small saucer to catch it.
