Ok for the price

I bought this because it was a more affordable option, and I believe I got what I paid for. It was fine, but only fine. The wheel didn’t rotate well but it still cut ok. It was easy to hold and maneuver but I would have preferred to be more confident in my cuts. I used this for gently rounded petals on an appliqué quilt, but I will purchase a more expensive cutter for a project that I’m more invested in.

Use for cutting appliqué pieces and English paper piecing. Easy to use. Perfect for these jobs

It's a Clover, Right?

I chose this small cutter because it's made by Clover and I love their other products. I was surprised at the flimsy feeling, but it works ok. It feels very fragile, which is why it got 4 stars instead of 5. I expected more from Clover. It cuts well, but feels like it won't last long, so I haven't used it very much - saving it for when I really need it for cutting curves. When I've used it more, I'll come back and let you know how it did in the end and whether or not I would recommend it.

Great traveling tool!

I travel with quilting material and equipment so the scaled down size is important to me. Directions for changing the blade were understandable.

Easy to use

This cutter is really a treat to use. It cuts my fleece easily as well as the sheer fabrics with speed and ease.

Good for curves

The cutter is great The blade can be shifted left to right and cuts through material like it should. Using this in tight corners is a charm. However I bought this with the singular purpose of using with the EZ circle cut ruler template and it DOESNT FIT IN THE GROOVE. The blade gets caught at the “lip” of the template and doesn’t go as far as the fabric . Its a good rotary cutter but doesn’t serve the purpose.

The whole thing falls apart!!!

Took the cutter out of the box and both plastic halves fell apart. Didn’t even have time to test it out. Tried putting it back together and the two halves of the handle just do not stick together. This is my first Amazon review I have ever done because I’ve never been so absolutely disappointed with a product. Bought it cause I’m a fan of Clover and their other products but this cutter is simply a FLOP

Ergonomic design when using my “Clover” rotary cutter a seated position

I love my 18 mm “Clover” Rotary Cutter. I purchased primarily for the ergonomic way in which I hold the rotary cutter in my hand especially when in a seated position. My hand, wrist & arm are much less fatigued. This ergonomic design was very important for me as I am disabled & sit in a wheelchair. It my understanding all “Clover” Rotary Cutters are ergonomically designed for cutting in a seated as well as a standing position. The cutter is also quite comfortable in my hand. Very good buy.

Excellent quality

Good quality product as always from Clover. The blades are in a case for safety reasons as the blades are extremely sharp. Excellent for intricate cutting because of their small size. Cuts cleanly and easily.

Okay but I prefer industry standard.

This review is subjective as the cutter itself is just fine If you only need one 18mm cutter for occasional use. A little more ergonomic but not quite as manageable and easy to manipulate as Olfa brand, in my opionion. My major issues is that it uses unique blades so can’t use bulk purchase (and much more economical) blades which only fit Olfa.
