Finally
It took four purchases on Amazon to find new moka pot that did what I needed it to do. Sorry for the mini-rant but hopefully Amazon reads some of these. The first one cut my thumb when screwing it tight, the second was obviously used and was delivered with rust inside the boiler, the third was scratched and had chipped paint, but finally this one worked out as expected. Note to Amazon - stop sending out previously used pots and start using real packaging on goods like this. Three shipments had damaged boxes and were simply put in a thin plastic bag with no padding. OK, onto the pot itself. We’re getting an induction oven so a stainless steel boiler was the key requirement. I had hoped to avoid aluminum altogether but the previous all stainless steel purchases didn’t work out. So I reverted to this choice which still makes use of aluminum where the liquids are stored. I did a fair amount of research and ended up convinced it is NOT a health threat. I know that may be controversial for some but even the Alzheimer’s Association says it is not a significant risk. Anyhow, I really like this pot for the following reasons: it holds a little more volume than the other 6 cup pots - keeping the water below the safety valve produces 9.5 to 10 oz of coffee, it’ll work on an induction cooktop, and, third, it looks great. The only minor negative point is there is sometimes a very small amount of leakage where it screws together as the coffee is finishing it’s brew. Very minor and I might be able to screw it a little tighter. It did not happen on every pot I brewed when breaking it in. I wouldn’t consider this a reason to not buy this pot. I could have stuck with the traditional aluminum pot and gotten an induction plate but who needs yet one more thing to store? And, the price is pretty much the same either way. So, long story short, the Bialletta 6 cup induction moka pot checks all the boxes. However, Amazon, you can do better.

Easy-Peasy and Delicious
The media could not be loaded. I've owned Bialetti moka pots in the past, but surrendered my last one to Good Will after purchasing my GE induction cooktop. How I missed it... Yesterday afternoon I received my Bialetti 2 cup moka pot, suitable for my induction cooktop. I seasoned the pot according to instructions, brewing coffee then tossing it out three times. Once it was seasoned I made coffee from decaf I roasted at home, and enjoyed the flavorful, rich coffee I've missed for years. Mornings are busy for me, so while seasoning my new moka pot I kept my eye on it while experimenting with time and heat to learn how to safely set it for minimal supervision. Heat must be adequate to create a gentle stream of rich coffee to fill the upper chamber of the moka pot, no more. If overheated, steam races through the grounds, quickly emptying the lower chamber in direct contact with the hob and forcing bitterness into the brew. Overheating the empty lower chamber in contact with an active hob is hazardous. What follows is a description, not advice. The process I use is not in accordance with manufacturer's directions and could be hazardous. Caution advised. Based on trial and error, for my older GE induction cooktop: I fill the bottom moka pot tank with hot water from the insta hot and fill basket with medium fine grind coffee (texture of a medium fine grind feels like salt grains between my fingers) I assemble the moka pot according to manufacturer directions, and Center the pot on the smallest induction hob Set heat to 3 Set the timer on my watch to 8 minutes (by experimenting with the smallest hob on my GE induction cooktop I found 8 min to be the waiting period before the upper chamber begins to fill at a heat setting of 3) Go about my business for 8 min, checking the pot occasionally. At 8 min, I lift the lid and watch coffee flow into the upper chamber of the pot, quietly filling for an additional 30 seconds. I remove the moka pot from the hob before it sputters, long before danger of overheating. Smooth, rich, flavorful, gently brewed coffee is mine in ~8.5 minutes

Best Coffee Ever
When I was on the hunt for a budget friendly espresso maker, I stumbled across a list including the Bialetti Moka Pot. Small problem...I have an induction cooktop. No worries! Bialetti makes one for induction. Pros: Easy to use and makes the best coffee I've ever had. I haven't picked up Starbucks since I bought it. Cons: There us only one. It can be hard to open. The smooth wide bottom makes it hard to grip for arthritic hands. I have to use a rubber jar gripper to get it open.

Only thing missing is crema. Otherwise coffee is awesome!
The only thing missing from the coffee is crema on top. But the taste is great, and can be tailored with the amount of water (don't change the amount of coffee!). The sales page really needs to include accurate base diameter. These were made for induction tops, and the diameter of the base is quite important. There is so much mis-information given in the Q&A and comments. The bases are apparently different sizes for the different pots. And I'm still not sure what all three base sizes are! All I can tell you for sure is that my 4-cup unit has a base that is just under 4" in diameter. Not 4.5" as stated in many places. And certainly not "about 5" that I also see. It is just under 4". And my GE induction top says that 4.5" is the minimum. Yet.... my 4" pot works on it.... barely. Must be perfectly centered.

very good product, the plastic wrapping the handle can be improved
very good product, nice color and paiting. The plastic wrapping the handle easily be roasted by flame under it while cooking coffee, which can be improved, maybe lined by plasma ceramic coating or even thicker and nicer ceramic glove, can be expensive but can be an art?

great Moka pot
I love this Moka pot. I replaced a 30 year old one with this. It has a stainless steel bottem for any cook top style and made in Italy with nice construction. It brews very consistently if you're consistent with the way you use it. This isn't the easiest style of brewing for beginners but it's traditional and tastes great when you know how to use it. James Hoffman on YouTube has a great tutorial for those interested. Through my experience of doing it the same way James recommends, your brew takes about 4-6 minutes once it's on the heat. I always use 90°C filtered water when brewing too. The only thing I change is the grind size depending on the roast I'm using. I'm thinking of purchasing a larger unit in the future.

Great product like all Bialetti’s
Have used Bialetti caffettiere all my life; when starting with the induction plates I have used the metal plate converter ( non Bialetti product) but I started seeing rings on the induction base and decided to get a new coffee maker form Bialetti just for induction. Ever so pleased. Faster than using the induction converter, safer and likely less damage to the plate and as a side comment, looking lovely too. Gave my other coffee makers to my mum so no waste and only happy people!

My first Moka
Overall very satisfied with it. Would strongly suggest getting a larger one as the 100ml fills about a quarter of a mug, I guess I thought I'd get half a mug out of it when purchasing. It's good for a quick caffeine boost before heading out. Still figuring out how to get the best flavour out of it y experimenting with different brewing techniques and coffee blends.
