Really Nice Wallet

We got this leather wallet for my husband because it was time for a replacement. The way this wallet is made is very durable and sturdy, holds everything he needs it to hold. I have never seen a man's wallet be as overwhelmed as my husbands and this one has been performing incredibly well. His other wallet was real leather as well and had lasted him over 20 years and so we hope to get at least that much use out of this one. I can definitely recommend this one for the durability, comfort and price. This would make a great gift as well and I hope you find this review helpful!

Hold all the cards

Great wallet if you need to carry a dozen cards. It's thick, but holds everything. It's very well made. Nice leather and the fabric on one side helps prevent it from slipping out of your pocket.

Roomy wallet

Guys get very attached to their wallets and usually keep them until they wear out. Guilty as charged! The Wolverine Raider leather wallet seemed like a good replacement for my 20+ year old trifold wallet. I ordered the Wolverine wallet in black and it arrived in a very nice presentation box. It is mostly attractive, soft, well-stitched leather except for the back of the wallet, which has what the manufacturer calls a "sweat-resistant patch" that appears to be black nylon. I would have preferred all leather personally. When opened, there is a plastic ID window on the left and three credit card slots on the right. The ID window opens left again revealing a second ID window on the back. There are another three card slots revealed in the center, for a total of six card slots and two ID windows. There are two slip pockets located behind the card slots and two cash pockets along the rear of the wallet. The wallet fits comfortably in a rear pants pocket and has a look of quality. It has an RFID-protective lining. My only gripe is that it will not open fully and lay flat because of the way it is made along the spine. I am not fond of that. I am unable to locate any warranty information. The Wolverine Raider wallet would make a very nice gift and I award it 4 stars.

A bit chunky

I find this to be a chunky bifold. The dimensions are a bit larger than other bifold wallets I own, yet it does not hold more. In fact, it has fewer credit card slots than one of my smaller bifolds. The wallet seems taller than necessary (and thus takes up more room in your pocket) and the edges are fairly thick and unyielding. This will get somewhat better as the leather becomes more supple. One style feature I could do without is the Cordura nylon patch on the backside. It takes the wallet down a notch in quality and you loose the feel of the leather on that side. Furthermore, combined with the leather reinforcing patch along the spine, this makes for unnecessary friction, snagging your pocket as you insert and remove the wallet. The leather that the wallet does have is nice. I could do with a more modest Wolverine logo but its not a big deal. I think the wallet is good looking even if I find it wanting in user-friendliness. It has 6 staggered credit card spaces, two clear card spaces, and four hidden (behind the card) slots. The cash area has a divider.

Nice wallet

I've had this wallet for about a month now and I mostly like it. Cards slot in and out easy. Holds everything I'd need it to hold. The feel, durability, and stitching is good.. Its a slightly larger wallet than I'm used to but still goes into my pockets without being uncomfortable. It has a resistance patch on the back of the wallet which is great at preventing the wallet from sliding out. My main frustration is I can't just tap the wallet at the subway turnstiles, it doesn't pick up the my credit card thru the wallet. I have to open the wallet and tap it that way. I guess that's the RFID protection feature but Its just kind of annoying to me. Thank you for reading; I hope it was helpful.

Good quality wallet

Very nice wallet. Feels good. Looks sharp. Seems like it will be durable. Doesn’t feel like leather all the way around. The back seems to be mesh. overall impressive.

Soft & Effective Leather Wallet

The Wolverine wallet was ordered to replace a wallet that I currently own. A few months ago I received a wallet, and after it was used for several weeks, I did not like it. First, the leather is extremely stiff, and all of the pockets were too small. I finally quit using it. When I saw the Wolverine wallet advertised, it was decided to order it. Right out of the box, the bi-fold wallet is impressive. First, this oil-tanned leather is soft. It is not the softest leather I've seen in a wallet, but it is definitely soft. The wallet has a good number of pockets (6) for holding credit cards and other documents. It also has 4 slip pockets for holding various cards & documents. All of the pockets are sufficiently snug so that cards will stay in the wallet, but loose enough for easy removal. The wallet has a 2-windowed flip folder for a driver's license and other card. My only issue with the wallet is with regard these picture windows. They are tight, really tight. I had difficulty inserting and removing my driver's license and fishing license. Maybe they will loosen up over time, but the stitching made the opening maybe 1/32 - 1/16 inch too small. That may not seem like much, but it does affect insertion and removal of the card. The one feature that I've never seen before, but really like is that the back of the wallet has a protective sweat resistant patch. The wallet also has RFID protection which is almost a necessity in wallets today. BOTTOM LINE: This is the wallet I've been looking for. The leather is soft and the wallet is thin. It has RFID protection, and a good number of pockets for credit cards and other documents. The only issue I found is with the window pane pockets for a driver's license and other card. The pockets (at least the one I received) were extremely tight and made insertion & removal of a license very difficult. The price is competitive with other wallets of similar quality. I like this wallet, and would order it again.
