????????????????????
Easy to clean, light weight and great value for the money.

If I could, I would give it 3.5 stars
Pros: heats well and cleans easily (as long you use the right tool) Cons: gauge/thickness of the wok is thin, does not come with a wok lid, and weight distribution is not even so wok does not lie flat if there is no food in the wok. i.e, the wok tilts towards the handle. I've had this wok for 6 months now. For the most part, I do enjoy the wok, there's been no rust, and it seems to be durable. However, I have several small complaints... 1.) The gauge/thickness of the wok is thin. You can actually squish the wok on the sides a little (it bounces back, but it's thin metal). Since the wok is thin, the wok is light, and if you set the wok on the stove with no food, the wok will tilt slightly towards the handle (see picture, not the best angle, tried my best). Usually you have food, so it should weigh the wok back down, but sometimes you might be cooking a small amount of food and the wok is still tilting towards the handle. 2.) You need to use a metal scrubber (see pic). If you try to use the nylon soft sponge, even the other rough side, it will not clean this wok well. YOU NEED THE METAL SCRUBBER! This will cause some slight swirl marks, but it's not a problem for me as I see this wok as a tool. Even after the metal scrubbing, the wok still looks great! 3.) For the price, I wish it came with a wok lid. Now I have to buy one separately.

Super Thin Material Does Not Carry Heat Well But Excellent Size
SIZE This is an excellent size wok. It might be a little too big. Depending on your portions you can easily cook for 6 maybe even 8. I cooked for 4 and there were enough left overs for 2 more. Stuff is much less likely to spill when you stir. This is the best part of this wok, but I am thinking of getting a 14 which might be a better size. QUALITY It is made from super thin metal and it did stain after the first use. It is very light weight, but it is kind of sharp at the edges because it is so thin. The handle is welded on very nicely. It looks like the handle will last for the life time of the pan. Not sure how long it will last, but I am planning on using it a lot during the summer for stir frys, I hope it lasts several years, but we shall see at the end of this summer. CLEANING It is very light weight, so it is easy to handle when washing. I would say it is on the easy side to clean, except that it is too big for my sink, so you have to be careful to avoid splashing water outside the sink HEAT DISTRIBUTION The heat distribution is poor. The material is too thin to be able to carry the heat up. The handle remains cool, but so does the upper half of the pan. You have to use a lid and because it does not come with the lid, you have to buy one separately. VALUE The poor heat distribution requires you use a lid, which when added to the total cost, makes the total purchase prize a poor value.

Understand How to Use a Wok Before Buying
The negative reviews indicate the that the users don't understand how woks work: - The material is thin intentionally because you need to bring the wok from room temp to blistering hot (and vice versa) very quickly; also thicker material would add weight, which is a problem for using the wok "food tossing" technique - The bottom is round so you need a wok burner or wok ring to use the wok; your local Chinese restaurant has round-bottom woks but various sellers have flat-bottomed woks also - You CANNOT expect to put a round-bottom wok safely on a flat countertop; seriously - don't do this, especially if the wok is full of hot food - Food WILL stick to the wok if you have not heated it BEFORE adding anything or if your food is too cold, regardless of whether you have "seasoned" your wok The wok itself is good quality stainless steel and I expect many years of rust-free service - I'm very happy with it!

Perfect size, but a little unwieldy
This wok is big, which is just right. I had a smaller one before and stuff would always fall out of it while I was stir-frying, but that doesn't happen with this one. The welded handle is a nice feature too, because it means there are no rivets sticking into the wok to trap gunk. It's just a smooth surface all the way around the inside, so it's very easy to clean. My only problem with it is that it's a bit heavy, and because it only has a single handle, it's hard to carry when it's hot and full of food. The one other thing is more an issue with my stove than the wok, but if you have an electric range like mine that is just a flat glass surface on top (oh for a real gas burner!!), just be aware the wok will not stand up straight on it. The bottom is not flat but rounded, like it should be, but that means that the weight of the handle unbalances the wok so that it will not sit steadily on a flat surface. It doesn't tip over, but it does rock back and forth if you don't keep a hand on it. It's somewhat annoying, but not a deal breaker for me since you normally hold onto the wok the whole time you're stir-frying, anyway. Besides, I don't think it would be an issue on a range that had some type of holder over the burners because that would probably be enough to balance the thing.

Love this wok
Love this wok. Cooks how I hoped it would. Like all stainless steel it has to be hot before you cook on it ! I was worried about regular steel rusting since I wasn't going to be cooking on it every day . I have blown thru 3 Non-stick woks. The non stick coating keeps breaking down and falling off. You can throw this wok in the dishwasher if you like ( that doesn't remove the caramelized sugars from the inside) but it cleans it and the whole wok is safe, No wooden handles to damage! And to remove the caramelized stains, a little "Bar Keepers Friend" rub on before the dishwasher and done! 16w is a bit larger than I expected. At the top it is 16 1/2 inches across and stands almost 5 inches high so on one burner ( I have gas burners) it is almost to the other burners which is ok for me , but, a smaller stove might have a problem. The hollow handle stays warm to the touch but not excessively warm and seems very solid attached. A handle on the other side would have made this wok a little easier to handle but it is ok without it. Don't be dissuaded by the lack of an additional handle. It is a very nice wok. and does a great job !
