Worked fine, here's a picture

No one bought this and posted a picture?? My first time buying a rod and I needed to see if there is a hole in the thread area for the locking pin. Purchased it and thankfully it does. The only issue I have is the manufacturer recommended this rod for my fan, Westinghouse #7217300 The fan is a dull/satin nickel finish while this extension rod is a shiny/chrome finish. Does not match but I'm too tired to care anymore.

Perfect fit

Exactlybwjat I needed, was unable to find d this size diameter at the local big box stores. A little pricey honestly, as this is twice as much as the local store, just couldn't find the right size! Either way product works great, good quality, easy Install

Not a good fit for typical unthreaded fans

Most older fans do not have threads on either end on the downrod attachment. They hold on via pins that slide through the downrod, and locking screws to hold the rod securely to prevent wobble. The threaded downrod design makes the locking screws unable to hold the downrod. And the ground screw hole at the top accepts all typical green ground screws, but the location was not correct to properly engage in the hanging ball (if thats what it's called.) That connection was also loose due to the threads engaging an unthreaded hanging ball. So if this design is for you, make sure your fan has a threaded connection on BOTH ENDS of the downrod. Otherwise, the installation will be mickey-moused.

Does the Job

Did the job, installed a fan on a sloped ceiling. Thought the threads on both ends a waste. Made it a bit harder to line up fan body with rod on both ends.
