This is the real deal

This appears to be a product actually made by Vitamix. It is very well constructed. The blades look as good as the ones that came with the unit. I highly recommend it.

Excellent Vitamin Container

Was in great need of a replacement. This container is excellent and durable and the price is reasonable. Many reviewers write that Vitamin containers become "cloudy." This is due to using Scotchbrite scrubbier or other scrubbers which break the material down over time causing a cloudy appearance--ask me how I know? Lol. Now, I just use a kitchen specific dish rag and always wash the container immediately after use and this will really deter that cloudy appearance. Enjoy! This is a great container you can buy with confidence.

Works Like The Original but Cloudy After Use and No Grip

The container I had received originally with my vitamin 10 years ago was basically the same as this. However, it finally cracked from use and needed replacement. Although this one works just as well as the first one I have noticed some differences. The most immediate is that it does not have the same rubber grip the old one had. Not a big issue for me but something to be aware of. Additionally, no matter how thoroughly I clean this, I always end up with some kind of cloudy residue on it. Not sure exactly why this one does that an my previous one did not. It performs just as well as the old one so I am happy despite these minor shortcomings.

Don’t skimp- buy the Vitamix brand

We recently replaced our original blender cup purchased in 2010 that had cracked during a move. Regrettably, we chose a cheaper non-Vitamix brand and had to replace it in less than 4 months. Realizing our mistake, we purchased the OEM replacement Vitamix cup, bundled with the drive socket kit, and the blender functions like it’s brand new. We have two teenage boys who devour protein smoothies daily, so this was a much needed replacement for our kitchen arsenal. Bottom line: don’t be cheap like we were: but the original.

not exact replacement

The blender container serves its purpose, however, the original had a rubber non slip handle. This replacement doesn't have the rubber around the handle so it's not as comfortable to handle and may slip once in a while depending on what you are blending. Giving it 4 stars because of that.

Exact replacement for my original blender canister

I have bought this twice now....but only because of my own mistakes. I have dropped my Vitamix blender canister twice and watched it smash into pieces on the tile floor of our kitchen. After each kitchen disaster I purchased this replacement canister and it matched the original exactly and worked as expected. Great replacement product for a great blender!
