Dial FINALLY fixed their one problem... then the price increased tremendously

I go through a ton of body wash. I've been using this Dial for years (ordered 45 times). When I started buying the Dial 4 pack I could regularly get it for around $40. My only complaint at that time was the packaging was inadequate and the bottles would leak almost every time (I've had entire shipments spill all over my porch and home entryway). Thankfully it appears Dial has corrected things by adding a seal on the bottles and my last 2 shipments have arrived spill-free. Unfortunately this amazing value has more than doubled in price lately and I feel "lucky" when I see it offered for under $65. For under $50 this is a no brainer, amazing value, and 5 stars. For $80+ it has me buying other body washes from retail stores again. Pros: Lathers well Good viscosity (Not too thick. Not too watery) Rinses off crisp and clean Mild Scent (Great if you're sensitive to powerful scents or like to wear your own cologne or perfume) Controls body odor Doesn't cause noticeable soap scum in shower Amazing value when its $40 FINALLY added a seal to control leakage during shipment CONS Mild scent (If you're expecting Axe, Old Spice, etc this doesn't offer a dominant long lasting scent) Shipping box is big and heavy HUGE price increase recently Old Bottles leaked almost every time I feel super conflicted. Dial FINALLY fixed their one problem (bottles leaking), its my favorite body wash overall, but the price increase is brutal and has caused me to buy different body washes elsewhere. If you can get it for under $60 I 100% recommend. I'm waiting for a sale.

Easier to rinse off than Dial's "Body Wash for Men"

A bit astringent-smelling but it rinses off better than either the Dial body wash or body wash for men. I bought the gallon replacement because Sam's Club was out of stock for 7 months, on-line or in-store, and now just stopped carrying it altogether.

Questionable authenticity & careless packaging

Good price BUT received with liquid soap leaking everywhere in the box. I originally ordered this 4 gallon soap early last month. It made it to a post office 6 miles from my home and was it was immediately returned to Amazon by the post office. So my thought was it was damaged in transit. Once I received my refund, I reordered it. This time it made it to me. It was double boxed.The outer box was twice the size of the inside box. The inside box was free to move around and broke. I could see that there was leakage. 3 out of the 4 bottles lost soap and the caps were loose. None of the bottles had any tamper seals under the caps. I probably lost 2 or 3 cups of soap that were leaked in the box. Then it took me at least 20 minutes to clean off the soap that was covering the bottles. Very frustrating. The outer box had no print to advise the handlers to keep it right side up, or that the package was fragile. Both boxes were flimsy and the product didn’t stand a chance to make it unscathed. The multiple reviews and pics of leaking, damaged product shows you that THIS SELLER DOES NOT CARE! In the past I have purchased from a competitor. Each of their gallon bottles had tamper seals under the caps AND tape over the caps. Their shipping boxes were small heavy duty cardboard that easily made the trip. This purchase was a big disappointment. Sad because Dial is a trusted brand. The price is great compared to others on Amazon. But you’ll get more than you bargained for. Is it worth the headache? Update: After contacting Dial’s customer service and explaining what I had. They told me that the product I bought was intended for sale to hospitals and clinics. Not for individuals. They also said it was probably being sold by a third party. I tried the soap and it doesn’t have the usual consistency of Dial body soap that I have purchased at the store. The liquid has more of a “stringy” “snotty” characteristic that makes me wonder if they cut the dial soap with something extra. Like more glycerin. Which would make sense seeing the “safety seals” are either missing, or stuck to the inside of the cap. Dial’s customer service told me they would look into the Amazon listing.

For a few cents more, I'll take convenience over a shrinking bottle of Suave.

I ran the numbers and, yes, from Walmart a 22.5 oz bottle of Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo (which I used as a hair and body wash) is cheaper per ounce. Keep in mind this bottle started out at a full quart, then shrank to 30 ounces before shrinkflating again to its current size. It might be only a matter of time until it equals or even exceeds the price per ounce of the Dial hair and body wash. It lathers luxuriously in hard water and rinses squeaky clean. Screw a pump into the jug, put it on the shower or bathtub floor with the label facing away and shower up!

Worth the money

Took forever to get because it got lost... but well worth the wait. Very nice lather and leaves your skin very soft. Has a very mild scent but you could easily add oils to it.

I’ll buy this till they quit making it

I LOVE this stuff. I work at a plant, and this is what they provide us with in the bath house. I have dry coarse hair, and I have never had a shampoo that leaves my hair feeling so soft as this stuff does. Another major thing, ever since I was small I’ve had problems with my scalp peeling. My son was born with the same thing, and this has all but cured it for both of us. My wife LOVES the smell and she has even started using it too. It’s a win all around!

Good multipurpose soap

I am using this as shampoo, body wash, and hand soap, and I’m quite happy with it. As everyone else noted, the packaging is horrible, and I did indeed have some spillage on arrival. How could they be so incompetent when it comes to correct packaging of liquids that almost everyone ends up with the same problem? All it needs is a foil liner under the cap or a piece of tape over the cap. It really makes no sense that they would continue to skip this standard precaution even after so many people have reported problems. Anyway, five stars because it’s still worth it despite the predictable mess.
