Favorite suit by far

I just started swimming at the beginning of the wear for a triathlon and this suit is perfect for my training. Novice that I am I never thought about how athletic swimming suits are different from a one-piece bathing suit. Before I was feeling like I was going to burst out of the suit I was wearing, so this feels way more comfortable. Enough stretch to be able to get in and out of it but not so much that it's loose. I got the navy color and it's very flattering. I have another similar suit that is a lighter blue that shows my curves a little more, but with this one it's not as obvious.

Third times a charm… kinda

Listen to the reviews and order two sizes up!!! I went by the side chart and ordered a 36.. had to return and get the 38 which was still too small and finally got the 40 but even that isn’t super comfortable but it’s the right size. For reference I’m 5’7 and 154 lbs usually a size 8/10 dress and 30 jeans… and I had to get the biggest size they have.

Fits great. No chafing!

This suit fits great, and I swim laps with no chafing under the arms, unlike many other suits. The front zip is terrific, because I have a lot of years of wear and tear on the tendons in my"swimmer shoulders" and sometimes have difficulty with suits that have tight, crisscross straps.

It’s a 36 xL and I’d say it’s really a 34.

I first ordered size 34 could not even pull up. Ordered 36. It’s too tight and cuts deeply under my arms. Well made, nice color just runs extremely small.

I feel great wearing it

I bought this swimsuit getting ready to swim laps for cardio and to train for Scuba Diving. I am on the fluffy side - 5'9'' about 190 pounds. This swimsuit is flattering and I feel confidant wearing it in public at the pool and the beach. I have had it for almost a year and it has held up.

Best if you size up!

I normally don't write product reviews but upon trying on my new TYR swim suit I know I have to spread the word for this great product! I'm a first time TYR customer and I'll purchase their goods thereafter. Most important thing when buying this swimsuit: SIZE UP!! A swimsuit is not like a shirt or a dress. It is supposed to cling to your body very tightly, so unless you are as slim and athletic as a model, I suggest you read these tips before you buy your normal clothes sizes. 1. Go to the TYR's sizing chart. The one provided by Amazon is a general sizing chart, not a swimsuit/TYR specific one. The TYR chart is here: http://www.tyr.com/shop/sizing/ 2. Locate your size according to your largest measurement. Not everyone has the exact combination of chest/wasit/hip measurements for a specific size, when that happens stick to your largest measurement. For example, if your chest measurement fits 34 and your hip fits 36, go with 36. After this step, you should have a tentative size, say it's 36. 3. Size up by one based on the preliminary size you get from step 2, in this case you would go from 36 to 38. A 38 is guaranteed to fit you well, if a bit loose. Nice things about the swimsuit: the quality is sturdy and seems to be able to stand chlorine for a long time. The cut is flattering. The suit cuts pretty high on the top. It also has medium-high cut on the bottom. In general, it fits my short & somewhat fat body perfectly (I'm 5'3 and 125 lbs)

I liked the material, Not much stretch, I had to return for a larger size.

Too small. I returned it. I liked material. Not much stretch. No breast foam to dissolve and cause fit to be off later.

it's a dream suit!

super comfortable, super stretchy, super flattering. i can't believe a swimsuit (for actual swimming) has been designed so well. I am a 50 year old woman, in shape and muscular, 158 pounds, with a 36 DDD chest and the 38 fits perfectly. i am so happy how this suit keeps everything where it should be. it's honestly a dream suit.

Quality

I have always bought and used TYR swim wear. I have another one of this exact style and I actual prefer the older version. This version is a lot thicker as it has an inner layer, but I prefer the thinner suit. I bought the 40 and fit is right, just a bit tight in the shoulder area. This does not bother when swimming though. I am 5'8 and approx. 185lbs. I use this 3 days per week for laps and it fits the bill!
