very baggy

Good quality coat. Way too baggy in the waist area. It fits perfect in the shoulders though, but torso is too wide. returned.

Fits Splendidly!

My fiancé has been in desperate need of a new peacoat for some time now. I’ve been looking at a few here on amazon for a bit and kept coming back to this one. The price is what was a deterrent though but I finally caved. Considering the reviews, I bought it for him for Christmas. It fits absolutely splendidly and as expected (hoped) for! He looks dashing! The quality is also great - it’s not rough but actually rather comfortable! It came with a spare button as well. Even though it was pricey it was well worth what I spent. I’m sure this will last him for quite some time! Definitely recommend for any man who is an avid lover of the refined and timeless peacoat!

I bought this for my son, who has big muscles in his arms and chest, and after reading the reviews, most of which said it ran a little large, I chose the large size rather than extra large, which he would normally wear. It was too small across the shoulders and thru the arms. He is 21" across the broadest part of his shoulders, measured across the back, 44" around the chest, and 16.5" around his biceps, slightly flexed. The length of the sleeves and the jacket are fine. It is of good quality material and well made. I will exchange it for an extra large and I think it will fit fine. It was not too snug, but snug enough that it would be uncomfortable to wear with no room for wearing a sweater or sweatshirt underneath. He really loved it and is very excited about getting the larger size so he can wear it. An update to my previous review: I got the extra large and it's still too tight across his shoulders. I will exchange it for the XX-large and hope that this one fits. Except for the sizing problem, my son is very pleased with the quality of this coat.

Other comments about sizing are right!

I usually wear a large - at 5'11", 175 lbs. Especially in a coat, where I'd like to layer a sweater under it if I wish. Following the comments here (this coat is sized bigger), I ordered a Medium. It fits like it was tailor-made to my body. Buttoned, there is room for a shirt and non-bulky sweater or sweater-vest . . . without an inch to spare. Without a sweater, on me anyway, it's a perfect fit with a bit more leeway. But it was never meant for low-twenties-to-teens temps anyway (though it'd do in a pinch). And it's perfect for 50 degrees and under (i.e., not TOO thick or heavy. A perfect weight. It's styled traditionally with a subtle contemporary cut; quality is excellent. A terrific buy at this price - and fast Amazon shipping! Exactly what I wanted (complete with anchor buttons) at an unbeatable price for this attention to design and manufacture.

Classy

Very high quality coat. I got tons of compliments. I'm 5'6 and about 210 lbs. I'm an odd fit when it comes to clothes. The medium was too tight...the large is just a tad big . I went with the large. Classy coat that can stand up to Michigan winters. Looks great with a scarf.

Great coat at a reasonable price.

The fabric is high quality and the quilted lining adds enough insulation to keep one warm, at least in temps in the mid +teens. I normally wear a medium but ordered a small, and the coat fits me like it was tailored. Room enough to comfortably wear a a heavy sweater abs not feel like the coat is being stretched.

Good bang for buck-nice wool blend peacoat-well made. Fits on the larger size-had to return the medium to exchange for a small. Wearer is 165 lbs, 5'11, average build and medium was too big. Small could be a bit longer in the arms but is plenty roomy in body/at waist.

Perfect nice coat, the only note I want to mention is that the lower button was loose and we have to fix it well.

Great purchase

This is a nice warm coat and actually looks better than advertised. I initially ordered a large based on some comments on the site, however, it was a bit too tight. I reordered an extra large and it fits wonderfully. The return and reorder process was very smooth and my credit card was credited quickly. Good job Amazon!

A Great Purchase

The jacket is extremely warm, great for fall / mild winter weather. The charcoal grey colour is very interchangeable (works well with a variety of pant & shirt colours). The size was a little larger than expected so I had to get it tailored. Overall, great pea coat at a very reasonable price.
