Size 7/8 slightly big on my 58lb, 50 inch tall daughter

The length is correct for being a size 7/8 but it is fairly wide in the body area. It's not so big that it's unwearable for her, and would accomodate a child who has a more muscular and sturdy build than my daughter's. Also, it's hard to tell from the pictures, but the dress does have some silver thread outlining the flower pattern in the fabric. It's subtle, and I think pretty, but was a surprise for me. Overall, the dress is well made and my daughter says it's comfortable.

Prettier in person

The dress is even prettier and more detailed in person. The flowers have a little silver outline around them. ❤️

Pretty Dress

We ordered these for our daughters (4 and 6) for Easter dresses. They are prettier in person than the pictures show online. They seem to be well made, and fit pretty well, although they’re a little bigger sideways than they should be for the length.

You can't buy a larger size to ensure it fits

I bought a larger size when I noticed that the images showed the dresses were quite short. I have two girls, One is just turning seven and one is eleven. I bought a size 7/8 and it fit perfectly for my seven year old, it goes right to her knees. (which is longer than what the images show) I bought a size 14 for my eleven year old, expecting to take the sides in. She put it on and it barely covers her bottom. As she walks you can see the entirety of her back legs and when she lifts her arms she exposes her bum. I sent the image to show that the size 14 is barely longer than the size 7. This is the second set of dresses I bought in these sizes where the larger dress was hardly longer than the smaller dress. I'm not a fan of this. I'm not going to be looking at the Children's Place further for dresses.
