I don't grill much, so I just wanted something small. With infrequent use, rust is an issue, but I could not find a small unit in stainless steel.....but this one is cheap enough to be disposable. Also, since my use is infrequent, I've had big problems with wasps nesting in and under my barbeque grills over the years. This one closes completely and the whole thing is visible with a glance.

You get what you pay for. This is a very inexpensive portable grill. It does what it is supposed to do and that is cook small quantities and it does it very well. After you receive it you will see that it is probably a little over priced but the quality is pretty good. I would guess that you could get about 3 to 4 years good out of this thing but not if you used it on a daily basis. I like the locks on the top because it allows me to put my charcoal and the things I need to cook if we go on an outing. I have a big Char Broil but it is a pain in the backside to drag out of the garage just to cook a few burgers or a piece of fish. Even thought it is a little over priced for the quality I still think it is a good product.

I bought this to replace my old Weber Smokey Joe that I had for a long time. This one is much thinner metal. It is no comparison to the Weber. It works good. For a few dollars more, I would have rather bought the Weber.

Poor design, doesn't cook
The bottom rack is 2" from the cooking rack; when the charcoal is spread out--even just one briquet deep, the cooking rack is touching the charcoal. There's no space between the charcoal and the meat, so the red-hot coals go out. I wasted 2 lb of chicken. Also, flimsy bag of hardware was open and missing 2 screws.
