Gorgeous for a Marine Ball

The Marine Ball is a conservative event where women should wear floor length gown, no sleeveless or low cut necklines, and nothing "flashy". Add to this a recent knee surgery which means I can not wear high heels. The silver looks great with my husband's dress blues and it's not glittery, so does not look flashy. I am 5'4" 36B and 135lbs. I am self-conscious about my mid-section and am about 15lbs overweight. I ordered a 6P so it would not be too long with low heel shoes. The picture is taken with 3.5" heels. The dress will be plenty long when I get lower heels. The dress has a light weigh slip and is roomy from the mid-section down. I love it and feel it is flattering to my figure flaws.

Fabulous dress!

Wore this dress to a formal gala on a cruise. It’s very comfortable, flattering with some stretch, and doesn’t wrinkle in the suitcase! I think it would look great on a variety of figure types…it’s very forgiving due to the stretch. And the fabric shimmers in the light.

Great dress, but not as pictured

The picture makes it look as if this is a a-line dress. It is straight. At least on me but I have big hips. It does not hug the body, however, and that goes a little ways towards hiding lumps and bumps.

BEAUTIFUL, BUT PETITE ISN'T ALWAYS PETITE

I am 5'2"; consequently, I ordered this item in petite. Even if I was wearing 5" spike heels, this item would be too long and would have to be altered. I love the gown and all other aspects of the fit. so it is worth it to me to have the alterations done, but for all you petites out there - be forewarned.
