Solid and simple

This watch isn’t flashy in anyway, which is what I love about it. It is easy to read and has kept time well for me over the month or so that I’ve had it. My only gripe is that the watch face that I got did not come with the leather band I was hoping to get, so I settled for the cloth/woven nylon band. This particular band isn’t very thick and I can see it wearing down quicker then one may want - but I can always get a leather band separately. So far I am pleased with the watch!

I think the battery is nearly dead, on delivery, but the look is exactly what she wanted.

It was exactly what she wanted, strap, appearance, NO date (she didn't want date feature). I was glad to find it. However, using the light (indiglo) works only briefly, and I think it's because the battery is nearly dead (minus one star) -- I suspect the battery was installed during construction, so it's been running in the box since. I guess we'll have to have it replaced... That'll be annoying. ((On the plus side, it looks like removing the old battery is a matter of prying off the back with a knife, replacing the battery (CR2016), and pushing the back back on.))

Love it!

I’ve had an smart watch for years but I realized how much it was controlling my life. When every few minutes a notification would go off it pulled my attention away from any other thing I may have been doing. Especially hated how it interfered with conversation and relationships. So I wanted a simple watch that wasn’t cheap plastic looking. One I could were all day and still wear with church clothes too. This one is great. Love the feel and the look. Couldn’t be happier. And I don’t miss the smart watch at all. It’s absolutely freeing!

Great cheap and versatile watch!

I like this watch but immediately replaced the strap, as it didn’t fit right. I hear lots of complaints about it ticking loudly, but mine isn’t loud at All. Wouldn’t notice it unless maybe the room was dead quiet. Overall a great watch for swapping straps!

Great Watch!!!!

I bought this watch as a Christmas present for my 8 year old son. I was worried about the comments regarding how loud the watch is. I still bought it thinking that I may return it. My son LOVES the watch!!! It’s such a great looking watch and he receives tons of complements. It is not loud at all. My son sleep with it (he barely takes it off!) and even when he sleep on our bed (please, no judgement!!!) we don’t hear a thing. The watch is a little big on his tiny wrist, my son is very petite and slender, but it’s still looks great on him. He cried when he open the gift on Christmas Day. That‘s how badly he wanted a watch and he was not expecting it for Christmas. It the perfect option to a digital watch with the games and all the stuff we didn’t want him to have. He can tell the time easily and time himself for the things he needs to. We simply love this watch!!! Great purchase great price!

Love this watch

I really love this watch. Easy to read. Stylish, Indiglo is amazing! My only complaint is the strap. It’s not very well made and doesn’t hold its place on my arm very well. I have walked through the rain with this watch on and it has gotten a little wet and still going strong. I recommend this watch to anyone.

Great inexpensive watch, with 2 drawbacks

I have now owned and used this watch for 3 years and 5 months, so a good point to write a review (and why I have now just ordered a new, different watch). Firstly, the good stuff: very reliable, never had any problems - comfortable on the wrist, easily replaceable strap. On the negative side, already mentioned by others: noisy tick tick especially at night. I don't mind, but my partner has me put it inside a drawer, so I can't check the time if I need to at night. Not a huge deal if it doesn't bother you. The bigger drawback for me is that the crown (you pull it out to set the time) comes out without me noticing when it gets snagged in an item of clothing, jacket sleeve - back pack strap and so on. I then don't notice straight away and of course the time has stopped. So by the time I notice, I might have missed an appointment or a train as a result, plus I need to check another timepiece or my mobile to get the correct time so as to reset it. Oh, by the way it does not have a date display - which is slightly inconvenient at times. If you can live with all of the above, a good quality inexpensive watch. I shall no doubt keep mine as a backup for my new one.

The watch is great BUT ...

Love the watch as all it does is tell the time, which is a relief after so many complicated watches with features I didn't want or need. The. battery was in it when I got it just a few weeks back and activated by pressing the crown. So far so good and it has been very accurate. However, 2 days ago it stopped. I assume and hope it was an old battery that had deteriorated inside the watch during warehouse storage, and have sent for a new battery of good make, so we'll see what happens when I put that in. Nevertheless, I am not impressed by being sent a watch that stops dead after 7 weeks.

Quality, presentable, comfortable and an excellent time keeper

I had this watch as a Christmas present from my parents in the 70's and wore it for years before the strap frayed, we tried getting a replacement but being before the days of the Internet local shops couldn't supply and the watch itself was eventually lost over time. I am so happy with this watch, it's exactly the same as my original and this time I can buy replacement straps from amazon, although the one provided should last a long time as I not likely to be climbing trees or scrambling over walls scrumping now. Timex is a reliable make and their watches keep excellent time. The watch is just quality. You can see the quality of the case and the the face is so presentable and clear. The indiglow light provides clear night viewing of the whole face. The strap is so comfortable and easily adjustable with chrome buckle and loop.

Cheap, Elegant, and an amazing accessory!

The watch is simple. Exactly what you get in the picture. The watch tells you the time and that is it. It is quartz so you can expect accuracy! The night light is perfect and you can see clearly the time in any darkness level. The wristband is simple but it gets wet very easily, and take a few to dry so avoid doing the dishes with it or showering. The watch itself is water-proof but I wouldn't test it (mainy for the wristband). The look is simple and classy/casual, honestly dont expect people to come over and comment over your watches awesomeness. Simple and goes with many attires. You can't go wrong. It really fits with almost any combination. The colors of the band are not that bright to really dictate what you should wear with. In terms of sturdiness it seems strong (i accidentaly hit my watch on the furniture sometimes, like when you hit your toe on the edge of furniture). So far no dents or scratches. Solid build and the wristband as well so far has no damage. I have the watch over 3 months now and it is just like new. One thing that miiiiight you need to know is that the watch is audible. If you are outside no you will not hear it, but when you sleep if you put the watch within a hand away you will definitely hear the tick-tock. Not loud to be annoying! But I as a light sleeper cant have this near my head to sleep. Having the hand at the hight of the heart and lower; no sound can be heard unless you focus carefully as if you are about to meditate. *A note for the average consumer: notice that there is still a chance that you might get a faulty product (please expect this for the price tag; the quality control is not that strong for cheap items) even though mine is perfect. I would recommend this to anyone hands down. Cheap and elegant.

Great watch

There is nothing not to like about this watch. The face is a white background easy to read numbers and dials. The strap is a nice stripe pattern. I love the indiglo light comes in handy when it’s dark outside. I have been a fan of Timex watches for many years. I have other brand watches but always come back to Timex. Great buy.
