Great quality placemat for a classic look

We had just purchased a new table for our dining room and needed to buy place mats for the first time ever. We have a 20 month old who loves to spill and since the table is solid wood and expensive, we wanted place mats that will keep it nice and prevent scratches, watermarks, food stains, etc. We purchased some other brand first but quickly realized that they were cheap quality and did not stay well on the table when items were placed on them. We opted to try these next since they were a thicker fabric and had the classic, simple look we were going for. We used them for the first time ever this Christmas when we had 15 people over. They worked wonderfully! They do seem kind of expensive but after I saw how they performed, I am happy. The biggest thing I noticed was that they did not slip and slide on the table (I kind of expected them to since they are fabric). They are relatively thick and once people put their plates on the mats, they stayed in place. No one had any issues and they were big enough for each place setting. My husband also likes the color and quality of the place mat. I ended up buying 2 sets since we have 10 place settings at our table. and would recommend them to anyone looking for a classic, functional place mat.

Just what I had been looking for.

Mats appear to be very durable. Haven’t had to use them as of today. I just received them yesterday however looking the product over it appears well made. They are dark brown exactly the color I had been looking for.

Very small

I was surprised by the tiny size of these placemats. I kept them because I just didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning them. A smallish dinner plate will work with them, but they really are too small.

Great quality.

I received one set as a gift and love them so much I ordered another set. They are thick and durable, look great, hold up to the inexplicable mess that kiddos generate, and still come out clean in the wash repeatedly. Customer service is kind and helpful. They really care that you are 100% satisfied with the purchase. I highly recommend these.

outstanding quality

I never write reviews unless the item is really terrible and I order almost everyday online. These placemats are the best items that I have purchased in a while that has exceeded my expectations. I just had to submit a review to let people know that these are very high quality, two sided, thick, not flimsy, gorgeous material. They are just the right size for a placement setting but not so big that they overlap into the one beside it. I purchased the white and it is beautiful. If any of these colors work for you and you need 6 placemats, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed.

Why the tag on every placemat?

They look fine, but two problems. First, they are pretty small so when put on a decent size table, the table kind of swallows them up. Second, for some reason they put a tag on each one. When I went to cut off the tags, as close to the seam as I could, it left a really small piece of the tag on the placemat. So now I have to turn the placemat at a certain angle where you can’t see the tag sticking out.
