Good bulbs, little to no flicker. But a couple of caveats.
These don't have red globes, so that means the LED's inside are actually red. Remember for true blue light filtration you probably want the globe to be red unless someone has a spectrometer to measure these I'd be a little cautious. With that being said, these have a lot of positive upsides.. 1) They have a very low flicker index (Sub 1% on my OPPLE meter). 2) The color saturation is very good. 3) The wattage use is trivial (3W). However there are downsides IMO. 1) Prop 6 warning on them. I wonder if the plastic itself has it? That's not good news for offgasing if any. 2) Color on the red is tilted more toward orange than red. I have a chromatic meter, and while it was titled toward red, it was more toward orange than deeper red. Not a deal breaker but something to consider. 3) The globe is white, which means the LED's are the color driver. Some may prefer a red globe to filter any potential blue light. I do not have a spectrometer to measure this. I am seeking good red lights to use around the house after dusk to preserve melatonin. This is very important as we're living in a blue light saturated society and it is extremely unhealthy. These are a GOOD solution. However I found a better one. I purchased a few non-Flickering Philips 40W bulbs (Philips LED A19 5.5 Watt Bulb 2700K Pack of 6 (550400) from somewhere else. Then I purchased a can of Rust-Oleum Gloss Apple Red paint. Then I taped off the base with painters tape and coated the globe with the Apple Red Paint. The net result of me doing this was a bulb with astoundingly good color and saturation. While they use a dash more wattage than these, the light they cast is softer and tilted more toward deeper red vs orange. This in my view is a better option overall if your stated goal is pure red light for melatonin issues at night. Which by the way; Monochromatic red light at 100 lux, a reasonable living room lighting level, would take 403 hours of exposure to suppress melatonin by 50% Candle: 66 min suppresses melatonin by 50% 60-watt incandescent bulb: 39 min suppresses melatonin by 50% 58-watt deluxe daylight fluorescent light: 15 min suppresses melatonin by 50% Traditional White Light LED: 13 min suppresses melatonin by 50%

Very orange, but not dim enough.
I put one of these bulbs in a desk lamp for reading in bed. I've heard orange light won't affect sleepiness, and the effect was even greater than expected! After opening the book and adjusting the light properly, I didn't read a paragraph before my eyelids got heavy. I could only finish a page before drifting off to sleep! I think the brightness is a bit too much for my use. I have bare white walls behind and beside my bed, so shining the lamp toward the walls softened and dimmed the light enough for comfort... but somehow the brightness is still enough to see sharp detail on the other side of the room. As for the color, it is so purely orange that everything green and blue (probably purple, but I don't have many purple things in my room) in the room appears black or very dark, but I can see other colors just fine... the white, wood, yellow, red, tan, and of course orange show up just fine!

True amber color - great for mood lighting
These bulbs were exactly the color we were looking for. We used them in sconces on our patio, and were mainly for mood lighting. They worked great, and gave us the color we wanted. Also, I know they are non-dimmable; however, they are on a dimmer, and it does work, although there is some flickering when turned way down low. Overall very pleased.

Nice
These are pretty nice bulbs I just wish they were a little bit brighter and maybe a bit darker of a purple (if that makes sense lol) BUT they do the job :) I have these in our outdoor pot lights and they’ve been in for a couple months now we have milder winters as far as temp goes so I can’t comment on if they’ll work in the extreme cold.

Is blue light an IV drug-user deterrent?
We installed the blue led lightbulbs in 4 of the 6 sockets at our building’s entrance, as well as in the emergency exit stairwell, in order to deter IV drug users who were using the spaces to inject drugs. While the official jury is out on whether or not blue lights actually make it harder to undertake this activity, they sure seemed to do the trick for us. Since they were installed, the nightly visitors haven’t been back to our building. The lights do flicker, or produce a slight wave, when they’re installed next to each other, but this is minimal. Even in our very dark basement stairwell, they cast enough light to see one’s surroundings. They use far less electricity than incandescent bulbs, and these ones are far less expensive than any I’ve found in local shops.

Seem to be well made
Not all LED bulbs are of the same quality, these seem to be better made than others. Will be perfect for showing we're open for business.
