MARVEL At This Game

This game is alright. It is pretty much charades but you throw in "I am Groot" and have a bit of a "loot grabbing" action involved. You need at least three players to play, so keep that in mind when ordering. The prompts are pretty fun and you definitely can enjoy it if you are playing with the right people. I'm not going to say this is my new favorite game, but I would have no issue pulling it out at a party if I felt the setting and group was right for it. IT is a good game to have in your collection for a family game night, and it does not run too long (depending on how you choose to play it). All in all, this is not a bad purchase if you are looking for a new game!

It's charades... but complicated.

This is a charades board game. It says it's for ages 10 & up. I was really excited to play when I first saw it... a GROOT GAME OF CHARADES?! Unfortunately, it's kind of underwhelming to me. I don't know if it's because I'm having a hard time understanding the rules of play or if the game is just trying too hard to be cool. There's very little to this board game,too. 2 decks of Guardian Of The Galaxy cards to act out the pictures for the participants, and a slew of extra directions for... idk. Again, maybe I'm just not understanding the play rules, but the game is not for me. It may be better suited for those who play D&D or WOW.

Decent game

This game is fun to play once you get the hang of it. We found the directions a little confusing at first, but figured it out and enjoyed the play. I will say that if you are not fans of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, it probably will have limited appeal. While there is some re-play ability with the variations, I do worry that over time it would be less challenging and fun to play with the same group of people.

I feel like the recommended age is good for this game- though, every parent knows if their child would do well with playing it or not. I like that it has a twist to Charades. Plus, who doesn't like to say I am Groot ???? We are liking it

Price is Right, Very Fun Charades Style Game

Marvel Charades

This is basically charades with a Marvel twist. Instead of staying silent, you can say "I am Groot" as you're trying to describe an object. Some of the objects are really difficult to describe (if you even know what they are), and that's just with adults playing. I'm guessing children would have a harder time. The goal is to collect items by guessing what Groot is describing. Overall, I think we'd rather play charades together as it's less confusing.

A game for the whole family

We had a great time playing this game. As my 13-year-old noted, it seemed like it was going to be a lot more complicated than it actually was. To sum it up, you have cards with different items on them. The person who is Groot is supposed to get the other characters to guess a certain item. If the other people guess the item correctly, they get reward "money" and so does Groot. There's a twist to this game regarding the "alarms", but that is very easy once you get everything figured out. We have played this game twice so far and our only complaint is that we wish the game was longer. This is easy to modify with "house rules". We also recommend one person be the "banker" who deals out the reward money. Upon discussion with the family, we think kids 7+ would have a fine time with this game. It was fun and the kids have asked to play it again.
